i wish you mentioned point park! we’re one of the only communities that really lives downtown. the city is our campus, based off of wood and boulevard. it’s filled with the most creative students- majors such as musical theatre, acting, cinema production, creative writing! if you would consider it, i would highly recommend revisiting downtown for a video that stretches beyond the sinkhole. visit the wharf, one of downtown’s most historical locations. talk about our museums, landing the city it’s well deserved title of an art district. downtown deserves a pizza rating to settle the longtime debate of what’s the best (la gondola for sure). our school is often forgotten, yet we’re the only ones left trying to uphold true city living! i will give you a tour myself!

You ain't kidding as frog children haunt your dreams... Yeah she's right about those bragging rights. I remember that as a child. I went to Pittsburgh performing art school too. For me, it was ballet, jazz, and I was the first part of hip Hop of that school. I mean a few friends of mine would stand there and dance in our ballet class. Our ballet teacher flat out said we need a hip hop class.. and that's all she wrote. Oh what good times. I'll never forget taking a break my mother was grabbing a hot dog off of a vendor. A man with Liberty spikes blue Liberty spikes of all things. I walked up to him and my little tutu. Ask him if his head actually grew that way. He said no no little lady I take a lot of time to style my hair like this. My head is round just like yours. I asked him if I could touch it. My mom turns around and there's her little girl feeling up some punks hair. My mom panicked a little, but then realize the guy was really nice. Oh those moments oh those sounds. With the echo of my teacher saying brown rice before burgers, s*** I just get the burger and throw the bun away leave me alone you ain't taking my burger from me. 😂

@shannonflaherty3534 жыл бұрын
@@terrenceharris9035 it depends on what your looking for, I grew up in Bellevue and the north side (federal street) I would say Bellevue is much more suburban. Federal street is so close to town and has so much history and beautiful old homes. Personaly I think federal street would be the one I would do a video on. Not because "better" to live in. But I think has a lot going for it. Also the have come and started re doing it putting new things in. Its becoming a nice place to live again. I think you said it best, that even though Downtown is really small in area, when you're in it, it seems much larger. The two opposing street grids make it so that there aren't many sight lines out of the city. Similar to the way old Hollywood sets wrapped around giving the illusion it went on and on.

Downtown/city central is so small for Pittsburgh. Born and raised. I consider veterans and liberty bridge and the 579 corridor the border of the city. I was going to mention this -- it's a "confluence" of the two -- meaning they combine at the point to form the Ohio. They flow down from higher elevations in the laurel highlands and the hills of northern PA and southern NY, then slope down all the way to the Gulf of Mexico via the Ohio.

I think downtown Pitts was more interesting back in the 80s when Kaufman's and Gimbels was big business down there, since they moved out, it's never been the same since then, don't get me wrong, alot of new things are happening and many buildings have been rebuilt and remodeled , but it's just not the same, infact in my opinion, it's becoming more each day like a ghetto, the wrong people are hanging out there now just to be a pest and beg and they even got government housing down there now around the corner from Condominiums , there is shootings and fights down there pretty frequently. I was away for 30 years and recently returned, but I think I want to move back to the suburbs now.
