We built this house for elderly parents. By design, the house is simple and consists of light blocks (aerated concrete).
The total area of the house is 640 square feet and the exterior dimensions are 18 by 22 feet.
We built this house without loans and on a small budget of $17,000. This cost also included the purchase of a piece of land for $2,000. The total budget did not include the cost of workers, since we did all the work ourselves.
We are a happy couple Hena and Vita
We like to create with our own hands, in this we find ourselves. We love making videos and try to make them useful. Therefore, we will develop ourselves and will continue to develop this channel.
We have many more DIY projects that we will definitely surprise you with. If you support family values and love to create with your own hands, welcome to our family "CREATIVE COUPLE"

I say that to people all the time. So many people today waste countless hours watching mindless junk. Im not saying you cant enjoy funny stuff or binge a good show. But some people NEVER watch anything other than junk. Like they never watch anything to learn a skill or find out whats going on in the world around them. Everyone is in their own little bubble while the world around them is changing immensely.

Having worked in the building trade for 4 decades, love watching you guys put it together, nicely done. On a side note, my brother and myself built one of the first "Hebel" aerated concrete homes in Australia in the 80s or 90s. And it still stands, on the side of a steep decline too.

I googled "Hebel" aereated concrete. Some answers were "Keeping up maintenance is important to avoid your Hebel panels looking dirty. This is especially the case with lighter colours. Cracking can be an issue. You'll need to be careful when fixating heavy items onto Hebel as it won't have the holding strength of brick walls." Another: "Is aerated concrete prone to cracking? The aeration process creates millions of tiny holes or pores inside the concrete block. Water can be retained inside these pores so any finishes applied to the wall must be able to breathe. If water trapped in these pores freezes and expands, cracking can occur which will damage the structure." And a third "Keeping up maintenance is important to avoid your Hebel panels looking dirty. This is especially the case with lighter colours. Cracking can be an issue. You'll need to be careful when fixating heavy items onto Hebel as it won't have the holding strength of brick walls.".

I happened on your video while searching for something else but found myself mesmerized by your unabashed enthusiasm, your attention to detail and your unapologetic love for each other and your family. As a former building inspector, I was intrigued by your choice of primary structural material (aerated concrete) as well as the installation of the various trades (electric, plumbing, etc.). I will look forward to your next project and wish you all the happiness that life may bring. Thank you for an interesting and entertaining video. It is my wish that Ukraine will soon be restored to that beautiful and vibrant country.

Bless you both. This is a major accomplishment and something you both have every right to be proud of. I hope you parents get to enjoy many years in this lovely house. Also, what you two to are doing together is what builds a solid relationship. You're young still. Keep doing stuff like this together. My wife and I did and we're still together after 35 years. Though I never build a house from the ground up but I certainly have done everything from masonry, roofing, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc and I know what it takes to do these things. For me it was difficult doing demo work in the houses I lived in because you have to contain the mess and be inconvenienced so it often takes longer then new construction. If your neighbors laughed at you, there is something radically wrong with them .

I know. I was about to comment "Pants On Please" not from a clothing perspective, but for protection against cement, stones, iron rods, heat etc. Wear eye protection Al's when your working with power tools or cutting or demolishing something. Splinters are dangerous.

How long did the build take, from plans to occupation ? It is great to see the build taking shape from the ground up and it is immensely thoughtful to build a new home for your elderly parents. They are very lucky indeed to have such caring children. Respect.

This type of "master builder" was common in the US two generations ago, before cities and downs "cancelled" owner-builder project, and when boys (and some girls) learned on their father's elbow the real life skills instead of studying to be intellectuals. But you left out one thing - they are also video producers, as shown in the clips of their office at the end. So I cannot say except that when you grow up with an attitude that is tuned to learning, it's posible to learn any trade, from mason to music producer.

As a craftsman and engineer, I salute your achievements, especially the joy and courage with which you approach the task. You really can't beat that! I built my house myself, almost entirely by myself. It took a total of 3 years. In the beginning a lot of people helped me, but then it became less and less. At the same time, of course, I also had to help my helpers with their buildings again. So I worked in construction in my free time for almost 10 years. At the beginning it was fun. However, you can't know and be able to do everything, although what you have achieved is amazing. But for reasons of sound insulation and statics, it would be better if you hadn't done some of the work, then your house would be even better. 1. Never drill through the supporting beams of your first floor for water pipes, but always hang them under the ceiling and then pull the ceiling down using battens and attach the ceiling to this batten. You even drilled through it at the end; this is where the highest bending moments in the wood are statically. 2. Please do not screw or nail the boards on the floor of your first floor. It would have been correct to place felt on the beam and then just lay the boards loosely. It would be better if you hadn't done the screws and the work. The screws transmit every step, which negates any sound insulation. Still great work, kind regards from a craftsman and qualified engineer.

@@jessy7884 They use aerated concrete i believe as a Turkish constructor. It has the properties of heat preservation, heat insulation, and sound absorption. But i personally dont like them cause of not healthy actually. Especially because of gas former (aluminum powder) inside. Some pumice bricks you can use, it will do the same job without that aluminum powder.

Hello to all builders. I also wanted to add on my own behalf, I noticed such mistakes, after the construction of the first floor the armored belt was not poured and at the end of the second floor the armored belt was also not poured, maybe it will work, but I think in 2-3 years when the shrinkage of the house occurs, cracks cannot be avoided. it's my opinion.

Nice! Aweseome to hear that you would take these two make house while they don't even take dirt away or make proper foundation for house. Capillary action is greatest danger in this house. But go ahead take these if you like to live in house that smells like cellar and moist keep coming up from ground with some mold. :D
