Years ago I watched a property suffer from more than neglect. I was walking with a friend and I mentioned my observations and she told me that the woman who owned it died and she had left it to her son who was addicted and he couldn't even pay the taxes. So he had low lifes in and out and they were destroying it and he knew that he was going to lose it. This was over twenty years ago. By the time the city got it. It sat for a few years and then razed. They built a new house but though it not so new anymore. I still think about that house on the hill. It sat lofty and it had to been a problem with lawn maintenance. But I see the old house the new one has a better setup for the hill. It must of been nice sitting on the front porch and seeing everything on three sides and I hurt when you see properties empty. I couldn't imagine how anyone could leave a house behind and sometimes their personal belongings. Until it happened to me. But I was bothered that my home would be empty and unloved like the house. I watched many of my neighbors leaving their homes because they were being taxed out of their family homes. I was paying taxes in two years that were what it was originally purchased for it took 30 years to pay that off. So now it a sign of redevelopment plan. So painful to watch

This looks like a home that was much loved. Somebody took the time, effort and treasure to build up the property. The fence, for one, for it to still be almost perfectly erect and straight after being abandoned for this amount of time had to have been meticulously well built. Someone cared about this home!

@@cathiwim , the solution to this sort of problem is simple, and it is that you simply off the feuding parties and then no one gets to argue about it anymore because, well, they simply are not in a state to be arguing about it anymore. I admire the fact that you took upon this huge project without the poison oak and the condition of the pool but you made it presentable. I often look at your post and at Maya watching it over and over again may the Lord continue to bless you.

Just can’t say enough for the awesome job you’ve done what a great transformation the home has some much needed curb appeal, what a beautiful and valuable property to just let it go to waste like that, job well done.

That was a beautiful home 😢. Basketball court in the driveway, gorgeous pool. Imagine some fun pool parties were had there. Sad, sad, sad. Spencer, you gave that house back it’s dignity 🙏

Great transformation Spencer. You really helped out the neighborhood. I just hope that someone brought you a cold drink and gave you a big thank you.

First off, extremely satisfying video. You can always tell when someone loves doing something because they do with a passion that most wouldn't. It's the driveway before and after though. Those results made that home look completely different. Good on you bro!

I hate seeing properties in this condition. I know the neighbors are probably thrilled! Amazing transformation! Great work!

Amazing truly an act of kindness, doing that pool was above and beyond for an abandoned home. God bless you 🙏

If I’m not mistaken, the guys from Lawn Care Juggernaut and Top Notch Lawn Care cleaned up this yard too. Y’all have done a great job cleaning up that abandoned house!

Yes, they did the front yard and a walkthrough of the back. It was crazy! Top Notch went back and worked on the back yard, but got a bad case of poison ivy. I never saw a finished product until now. Spencer did an awesome job!!
