There more to it then going in and mowing,you have to talk to people first rather they own the home,live or its vacant.i don't mowing lawns cause I don't have all the equipment,and thats another thing to think about.and I don't want to get in trouble with the law.

That plant is a wild datura. It produces white blossoms shaped like morning glory blooms followed by round prickly seed pods. All parts of the plant are toxic, but it is a pretty wildflower. I allow one to grow in my back yard. The plant dies down in the winter and regrows in the spring.

Great job, and much improves the neighborhood. The plant with the developing bloom and stickery seed pod looks like a moon flower plant. Will re-seed itself and blooms starting in the evening only. Hummingbird moths love the fragrant white trumpet shaped blooms.

I think the plant you left to bloom with the spiky seed pod is a moon flower. Blooms at night, smells beautifully and the humming bird moths love it.

Good point. Wouldn't it be even better if today's manufacturers made quality products that not only fit a biodegradable materials standard, but things that are made to really last? Instead it's mostly cheap, flimsy, and disposable products, all for the sake of more and more profit, (aka planned obsolescence). .

The neighborhood is much improved because of your wprk on this lawn. Those seed pods and the developing flower looks like what is known commonly as a moon flower. Not the vine, but the shrub like plant. They bloom only starting in the evening and close come day time. If I am right, they are very fragrant and humming bird moths love them. There is a botanical name I can't remember, (only that it starts with a "D"). Glad you left it to bloom.

Finally, after years of watching guys do yard revivals, and you are the first to start off correctly by cutting first! Seeing so many wrench their backs out by trimming first and lifting all that extra weight ! First of all... The lawn will need atleast 3 passes to get it lookin good. Why must these young bucks ruin their backs for years and blow out knee caps and shoulders in the process? Good job my brother!

Those things that you didn’t know what they are that had those prickly little balls on them and the blooms are called moon flowers. They only bloom at night. They’re beautiful and the flowers are huge. And inside those prickly little things are the seeds that will drop once that ball dries out and that’s how they reproduce and grow new plants the next year

Beautiful job! My neighbor passed away and at 75 I still mow his yard out of respect to him. Don’t understand why folks can’t pitch in to help neighbors and such, but don’t hesitate to complain. My constant mowing makes it a lot easier to maintain. God bless you and your family.
