You are so empty like these empty people. Richard Dawkins teaches the universe came from "literally nothing." Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it. We can't get anything from "literally nothing." We can't even get science without God. The laws of nature only can come from a Lawgiver, God.

@jeffjones6951
@jeffjones6951 3 жыл бұрын
@@NomadUrpagi Dawkins coined the term "meme" in his 1976 book "The Selfish Gene." Any unit of information that is passed on (like a gene) from one to another. Like the shoe-tying meme we learn at age 4 from our moms. The current internet craze for these silly pics with phrases is somewhat of a highjacking of the term. Similar to the perversion of "game theory."

You are so empty like they are. @@2fast2block Why should I listen to you? I've heard your answer hundreds of times. It does not explain the existence of anything at all (Universe, laws of nature, gods, etc) but merely says "let's say that a God just happened to be around the whole time and go from there". I don't pretend to explain why there is anything at all, but I don't see how making up a being who bumpstarts the whole thing is any more of an explanation, and it's very, perhaps infinitely, more complex than just saying "our Universe with its laws somehow exists". Being that I see no evidence of any gods, I'll go with Ockham and stick with my far simpler worldview, until I see evidence to the contrary. But I don't really care what people believe, as long as they behave nicely. Cheers from overcast Vienna, Scott

@ZK Tay My guess is that if you choose to live that way, it will not lead to your own happiness, nor to those around you. But good luck with that! :)
@freesk8
@freesk8 3 жыл бұрын
@ZK Tay I'm an atheist, and love Dawkins. And atheists can believe in goodness. It just depends on our assumptions. Just as Euclid built a system of geometry based on basic assumptions about lines and points, we may also build a system of morality upon some basic assumptions. You don't have to accept those assumptions, but once you do, a system of morality emerges via logic. Here are two assumptions you could start with if you like. Just two among many: 1) It is never OK to make the first use of force, or threat of force, against an otherwise peaceful person. This is called the nonaggression principle. 2) Each individual adult is the proper owner of their own body, and life. Socialists don't assume this, of course. They tend to assume that the collective or the state owns their bodies. But that's up to them! :)
@freesk8
@freesk8 3 жыл бұрын
@ZK Tay I also tend to assume that a person is more valuable than an insect or worm. I do the thought experiment where I can only save the life of one individual common insect or one individual person. I would pick the person every time. Works for all squirrels and birds, too. Gets a little harder when I get up to apes and dolphins, but I pick the person then, too. Some people don't agree with my choices, but the thought experiment is good for revealing your own values. What do you think of the person who would save the squirrel instead of the person? I tend to think they are bonkers, don't you?
@freesk8
@freesk8 3 жыл бұрын
@ZK Tay Your life is a gift from God, right? So you own it. It is yours. God has made you "sufficient to stand, but free to fall." He hopes you will not sin, but has made you capable of sin. Ever hear of Natural Rights? Also known as "God-given rights." These are life, liberty and property. They are also a direct logical result of assuming your body is yours. They come before governments, and not from them. Sounds pretty conservative coming from an atheist, no? You see, we atheists can come to a very similar place as you Christians, just by choosing the right starting assumptions.

And that's just the mileage of the earth orbiting the sun, dragging us with it. Add to that the millage the sun is traveling around the galaxy center dragging the earth with it. And the mileage of the galaxy traveling through space, dragging the sun with it. Etc..

And ask Richard how we got all this and he can't explain.

Dude, nothing natural can "point to" something supernatural. That's a contradiction of terms, as that would make the explanation part of the natural. You point is a God of the gaps argument at best, hogwash at worst. There is no God, my friend. Get over it.

@@Accolonian "Dude, nothing natural can "point to" something supernatural." I just gave it and you just ignore it. Tell me where the gaps are in what I gave. Give evidence why you doubt those laws.

@@2fast2block The God of the gaps argument is when you see something that lacks an explanation and insert God. I wasn't addressing gaps in your theory. In fact, I don't want to engage with that, because I can see that it is a mix of high school level science and rhetorical conclusions. I don't know if you thought it up yourself or it is one of those talking points they hand out to you to go post in the comment sections everywhere, but I am not the right person to untangle it for you. Neil would be better at that.

@@Accolonian "The God of the gaps argument" From the liar who can't show the gap in what I gave. You can't give evidence why we should doubt those laws. Your comments are just empty. Now, go say your prayer. The prayer from the book, 'Atheism (and the like) for Dummies (because there aren't any other kind)'... "Oh, god of nothing, we deny you exist, and you don't, but we have no choice to declare you our true god if we're honest, but we're not. Please god of nothing, help us to continually grow in offering no science to support you because there is none, but nonetheless, we devote our lives to you and will do the best act we can, no matter how pathetic, no matter how embarrassing, no matter how much evidence is against us, we will use the various tactics to deny the CLEAR science against us like our biggies: ---"god-of-the-gaps", ---"that's your opinion",---"invincible man in the sky", "sky daddy", etc. ---"we don't know yet but science is working on it"---"no reputable scientists believe that"---"religion vs science"---"the bible says...."---"creationist/creatard"---"people used to believe the flat earth"---"you're a troll"---"that's not part of evolution"---"atheism is not a belief"---"burden of proof is on you"---"religion causes most wars"---"I used to be a Christain"---"you're brainwashed"---"Do you have a photograph of this creator?"---and our great tactic of changing the topic because we can't answer what is the topic so we then can say the others are ignoring us, no matter how clear it is we're the ones stuck and can't handle the topic. Who cares about fairness and honesty. Our god of nothing must be protected at ALL costs!" "We praise you god of nothing for such phrases (and whatever else we can make up) that answer nothing, but you gave us these word farts to help us deflect what we refuse to face because all us are really dofus wimps and don't want to think, we want to be lazy and act as if we're smart, all thanks to our god of nothing that makes us all a somehow important yet our brains came from the god of nothing all by random chance from chaos we evolved from that we just made up."
