The golden age of television and entertainment. This was just two guys singin' and having a great time together. Glen and Neil are legends. No politics, no angry words or crude personal attacks on anyone. I miss those days...….

This takes me back to better times and better music. When I saw Neil Diamond in concert for the first time at the Greek Theater in August of 1972, I expected the performance to be much like his variety show appearances, which would have been fine! Instead, it turned out to be the greatest performance I've ever seen, consisting of class, soul and raw energy! That great concert was 'Hot August Night' !
@donaldcook31124 жыл бұрын
The greatest live concert recording of all genres and time. As a fan since being a little boy and hearing those early songs - I did just what almost every other N.D. fan did, stayed true and unswervingly loyal . I made it to The Greek in L.A. for the last two concerts of his '40th anniversary' of HOT AUGUST NIGHT; a lifelong dream fulfilled - still can't quite believe I have seen Neil Diamond at The Greek .

People tended to think of Glen Campbell as a singer and songwriter. He was those, but he was also a GUITAR GENIUS!
@survivrs3 жыл бұрын
Daniel Stump Put Glen and his guitar alongside Roy Clark and a banjo and you'd better be listening because those guys were amazing with their skills on those instruments. Ashley can really play as well. I learned that from the video of Glen's farewell tour. He may have lost his memory for the lyrics, but that guitar was never out of tune.

@@survivrs turns out Neil was touring Canada and he discovered some of the small towns had more men than women. Without enough women to go around the left out men would buy a jug of "crackling rosse" wine (I'm sure I spelled it wrong) they would call this their woman for the weekend. There's a video where he talks about it However I don't know the link to get you there. You could probably just Google "Neil Diamond talks about the meaning of "Cracklin Rose." I hope this brings a smile to your face I know it did mine! With everything going on right now we can all use a bit of that! Take care of you and yours.
