He was just 27 when he made this video. The man with a boyish face and mature voice. Great combo.

Absolutely fantastic. Neil Diamond is the greatest performer who brings tears to my eyes with his sincerity. I listen to him every day as I am in a lot of pain and have been for over 42 years and his songs help me to cope.

Absolutely brilliant, the song and an incredible Neil Diamond. I love all of his earlier work . He had such talent then and gave so much of himself.

His first years were the absolute best ones. In every song you can hear (and see on his face) that the meaning of his song is honest and that his feelings are true. Solitary man, Shilo, Holly Holy, Brooklyn Roads, I am, I said and the wonderful Morningside.

I love Neil Diamond so much. Brooklyn Roads brings tears to my eyes. Neil had a good childhood with lots of good memories. I know his parents were so proud of him. Not to mention his beautiful eyes and handsome face.

His voice is so soothing. I never get tired of it. It makes me see my one love and our life of 53 years. He’s been gone for eight years now and your music brings back memories that will always be in my heart. Each song just gets better as I listen to your silver lined voice. I’m 83 and my memories take me back to our early years❣️

Amazing cinematic storytelling in a Grammy nominated song and an incredibly rare video. Unfortunately there is very little footage of Neil Diamond in what was his most successful period in the late sixties and early seventies.
@Hy-Brasil Жыл бұрын
which is a crying shame. he far surpassed anything the beatls or elvis did(and I was a huge fan of the beatles when i was much younger) back then my musical tastes were often guided by whatever my friends liked or discovered. The only time Neil was mentioned in our group was the time he wrote songs for the monkees. and we didn't like that because it represented cookie cutter corporate bubble gum pop. little did we realize MOST bands in the 60s were using the same formula. All we knew was the monkees were the only ones trying to break out of it... yeah we were bigger fans of those goofballs than the beatles or rolling stones etc.. and any time i did hear a Neil Diamond song on the radio it felt waaaaaay too intimate for me! And it was because I was too ignorant to understand what it meant to actually write from the heart. bands like the beatles were making up songs from newspaper headlines. Neil was actually far more substantial and introspective. most people lack the capacity and talent to do that. I only recently found an appreciation for Neil's music. and i am sad over the lack of content. BUT i am thankful that he's still around, still doing what he loves and that so many people all over the world are loving it too. He's really living up to his name.

For me it's Lower Bridge Road... for my husband it's Naranja. Our teachers sent home identical report cards. "Smart but lazy" Lazy??? You have no clue how hard, fast and long a creative mind works!!! It's an engine that never shuts off. And being told to apply yourself to subjects that literally don't matter is the worst kind of torture. Hell, i still like to ride off with dragons and kings. I dont need an excuse.
