Another beautiful composition, despite it's sad subject. The young lady was great, & I'm sure daunted, as piano chord changes & echoes could really hv filled this song out. I admire anyone who has the natural talent & dedication to become a fine pianist. Neil Finn is a musical genius, so humble & generous too.. Bravo to this duo. He's a generous man.

Yes - I love that verse - something all pet owners can relate to. The studio track caps it off with: “And I won’t let go of the first clear moment I saw you” So good!

heard this last night at the Fleetwood Mac concert when they were playing music over the speakers before the show started. I had no clue what it was but it was stuck in my head all night and into today. it was driving me insane that I didn't know because I fell in love the minute I heard it. I googled what lyrics I remembered and finally found it just now. lovely, lovely song and it was a very lovely night

NeoOneNil Avatar for NeoOneNil 31 Dec 2012, 6:58am posted 02-16-2008, rated 0, view, "I am a Nigel. I have no genuine & real offline friends. I've never had a girlfriend and I'm turning 28. The below line is a 'saving grace', since I'm predominantly alone in life, I have Neil Finn, James Blunt, Coldplay, Travis, Robbie Williams, David Gray, Keane, Roxette, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Richard Ashcroft's MUSIC ringing through my senses, keeping the broken heart beating a little while longer, and keeping the soul a step or two away from utter & fatal flatline. Further the ‘stranger’ as expressed by Mr Finn are these musicians, amongst many other artists. I will never know them, but boy oh God I’m so glad they keep me from living in isolation of the cruellest kind. '''...I feel like I’m in love. With a stranger I’ll never know. Anyone know if the whole of this gig is available anywhere on the internet? I think it was recorded at the Brixton Academy and shown on BBC. He also sang Last Day of June, which I don't own but wish I did. The whole show was brilliant and laid back. Neil Finn at his best. (Or at least one of the very many times he's at his best!)
