@robertjohnson3855 Жыл бұрын
Who can say where a song falls as #1 or #100 of all time. Critics are men and women like all of us and where they place a song is always an opinion of the listener. The point is, it's great music. Yes, I said we are all men or women, there is no in between. If we have a scrotum we are men, if a Vagina a woman. Why many make things so complicated? It's one or the other period. You can tell me or anyone else your opinion but THAT is all it is, it doesn't change the facts and I for one will call it as it appears. I don't care about opinions, only the facts. Enough said.
@rfnr8177 Жыл бұрын
@@robertjohnson3855 With your point on the man and woman issue, I 100% agree with you. But why was that necessary to bring up in the comments of a music video?? Seems a bit irrelevant!

This man is immortal. This song will never be forgotten. Humans have two natures; the one is to take; the other is to give. They come to build a wall between us but they won't win because the good in us keeps us inseparable from one another. Don't dream it's over. We are stronger together.
@carlosvelez35568 жыл бұрын
I had the very good fortune of attending a Crowded House concert sometime in the late 80's. My friend Mike was working as a DJ for a radio station in Santa Barbara while finishing his studies at UCSB and comped some tickets from the station manager. Now, I knew a little about the band, but I had no idea how incredibly talented these guys were prior to seeing them perform life. I was, to use an overly employed term but in this case perfectly apt description, blown away. And more than the music itself, Finn was funny, charming, and very humble in his interaction with the audience. As for this song, there are very few hits you can come back to again and again that hold their initial impact; "Don't Dream It's Over" has stayed with me for 30 years, and its mystery continues to resound through the changes in cities, friends, and lovers that have come and gone.
