1. Turn off Motion/Action Smoothing. 2. Turn on Movie/Cinema/Film-maker mode. 3. Make physical room darker. 4. Keep brightness at around 50%. 5. Turn up contrast. 6. Set color temperature to warm. 7. Turn off Light Sensor/Power Save mode (uses more energy).

Oh geez, I just realized you asked for "contrast", not "contact". That'll teach me to try and check my comments right before bed. Numbers vary per television, but personally I turn my contrast all the way up first and then adjust the brightness and color temperature to make it look good. Neil might have better suggestions if you contact him.
