@GHOSTSTARSCREAM It's likely not possible to get into the nitty gritty of most tech unless you plan on shooting a feature film or focusing on just one single aspect. You have to brush over many fine details in order to produce something at a reasonable length.

What MKBHD himself doesn’t realize just how powerful he has become, and that’s a good thing. For someone who doesn’t want that power, he handles it very well. MKBHD became immortal and entered the pantheon of the most powerful people in the world when Tim Cook quoted him on stage. The question I have for people bashing him is: should we always talk about the good but not the bad? What if he didn’t say anything about the car, and people ended up in a very bad accident, resulting in fatalities? Would we then say, ‘Oh, MKBHD should have reviewed that car and said something?
@DougWolfe

In particular, I enjoy his enthusiasm for what he does which is quite apart from the power he wields or the money he makes - both of which don’t really factor into his interests in the products he reviews or makes. He even talks about how there’s no magic number he would consider for selling his brand. It’s not about the money - it’s about the work he enjoys. That, in my mind, makes him a premium reviewer.

He's not necessarily the problem. It's his viewers, they're easily influenced and publications will run off with whatever he says. Not to say that other people weren't saying the same things, but MKBHD can make it extremely difficult for any non Tesla or Apple company. Also it's pretty ignorant to not know how much sway you have, it's pretty dangerous, like having a nuke button casually on your desk next to your mouse. You're also kinda doing the same thing, should people not criticize him? People should only praise him?

MKBHD for me is the best tech channel PERIOD. I've tried other channels but is very noticeable when they try to manage the information to benefit the product even when is bad. In the contrary, Marques has been always the humble guy that goes in and say the things the way they are for a normal consumer. I hope he remains like that all the time!

Thank you, Marques, for who you are and what you offer to the world. And a big thank you to Jon for putting together this brilliant piece of work, you have put out the most insightful and exciting questions that have made us see more of Marques. Wish you guys the very best in all that you do. Big ups from Nigeria.

I found MKBHD when I was looking to buy my first laptop for school and almost every single KZbinr was white. and there is nothing wrong with that at all but when I saw his channel pop up randomly I was so happy to see a black man in tech. I bought my first MacBook in 2015 off his recommendation and bought my second one last year 2023 off his recommendation. as long as he's on YT I will be subbed

Having watched all of Marcques' interviews he's done over the years I think I the most admirable thing about him is consistency. He has a truth he speaks and doesn't sway from it. I don't think I've ever called anyone a GOAT but damn does he fit it so well.

Nice interview. Absolutely love MKBHD. One of the few KZbinrs that I look forward to watching each video, even if playing in the background (for products I have no interest in). He doesn't ever give the impression that he's making content "just to make content". Each video feels like it has his personal touch. You can feel his passion and relaxed attitude because he doesn't sound like a chipmunk on caffeine.
