thanks Jamie Borden....... thank you so much for this ... I noticed the two wedding bands on both Neil's hands , I had never noticed this before....... he was never married to Jackie.. so interesting that he would have chosen this in later years to honor those memories... pressed between the pages of his mind... ---- When I heard that you were gone, I felt a shadow cross my heart..one of my all time Heroes ... my R1100gs (red) riding instructor..my secret demolition derby champion car builder.. my white haired uncle at the country place that no-one knows about with the red sports-car down in his barn good as new....that smells slightly of a mixture between mid-land oil and of well weathered leather , blistered rubber tires.. screaming brilliant chrome exhaust ... I begin the day with a friendly voice. the magic music makes my morning mood so elusive yet not for rent if you choose not to decide you still have made a choice. live for yourself there's no-one else more worth living for...and let them all make there own music the priest praised my name on this night..--- I will be forever grateful he was to have been ( alternative not to have been).. the question has now after great anticipation been answered mystery solved.. the writer stared with glassy eyes defied the empty page,, he rolled the bones ,he flew too close to the sun,----Because it happens........ that's the only answer that is conclusive.. .... jack. relax. get busy with the facts.. like in the movie cast away... I am so sad Neil is gone . But I am so grateful he was with me on that island.... you will always be here.. with us Neil .on this journey thru life ,,an internal part of us drives on with the spirit he shared with us all. thru books music and imagination, our clockwork lives must move on,... get busy living or get busy dying............. Because were here.........long live NEP & Rush-RIP NEP... i tried cross country skiing rowing a boat swiming ,, i suck at them he states, but i can do them for a really long time!!...lol ive been skiing for 30 years he says i suck at it. but i'm a really good faller..lol.... and when helmets have melted and busses have broken and the drums have been played and the show is over Neil is still out there working ... working them angels overtime...

Neil wore a wedding band while he was a common in law husband to Jackie. He wore a band on his left hand after marrying Carrie. I personally believe he wore the band on his right hand in honor of his first wife/child. That band was there for a time, and then it wasn't.

I still remember... shouts of joy skiing fast thru the woods...I see your foot prints as we ran by the water on the wet summer lawn...I hear your voices I remember,,,,, / are we the last ones left alive?.. are we the only human beings to survive..? --and the men who hold high places ..must be the ones who start.. to mold a new reality ..closer to the heart....pack up all those phantoms shoulder that invisible load.. ..haunting that wilderness road like a ghostrider.. thanks for your reply and I believe that you are correct...

There are costs and benefits to all careers....I appreciate Neil's perspective. There are many people who travel for a living and make 1/30th or less of the income and have the same struggle and feel the same way. Why do we do it?
