This version is so beautiful. Just Neil, his guitar and the moment. The sound quality is so good too. Thank you for sharing this.

I thought before hearing this video that no-way could this be done well with only a guitar. But it's amazing! Who needs the orchestra! Mr. Young provides the magic.

Loved the first album version , with the whole band and orchestra, but NEIL can break his music down and make it pure magic . The real deal and one of his best songs , brings back memories of his own favorite song "four strong winds" he listen to when he was a kid.

The melody of this song, the chord changes, the lyrics, his voice. This is a remarkable composition and performance coming from a 24 year old man.

To me, the greatest song ever created in popular music as I know it.The studio version has always overwhelmed me with emotion. Thoughts of where it could possibly have come from are always suppressed by "better left unknown."
@Spanosmusic2 жыл бұрын
The only thing missing in this live performance is Neil singing, the music sounds just like the original studio recording but it was all done with musicans. Why Neil didn't sing on this I don't know but I know that Richie sang on a couple of Buffalo Springfield songs with these people. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5-9d6h_icqZi8U

@@Spanosmusic What do you mean Neil isn't singing on it? He sings it here beautifully and on the original recording.

Neil is singing to amazing effect . But it still feels otherworldly and gives me the chills . It is absolutely amazing and still melancholic and beautiful while bringing memories as well as regrets .

Incredible and breathtakingly romantic, with Neil’s stunning ability to impart sadness and melancholy. Some of his best lyrics were written with Buffalo Springfield ( which is probably one of the BEST names for a group ever)!! This song touches ALL of us who have ever loved deeply. It touches me. THANKS to Chromedreamer for posting this… a great recording!!

I believe that I have just heard the most romantic love song ever written and it pleases me to know that Mr. Neil Young recorded it. Now the key question is " Did the young Shakespeare write it in 1969?"
