Simple, yet complex. Still rockin the free world. i ran into Neil and Pegi last month in S. Cal. My observation:....just normal folks trying to get by. Moving ahead with what the universe brings. We get Neil where he is. What else can we ask of any artist, or anyone. What else can we give one another? Sign of love, yes. thanks Neil, and Pegi.

Started listening to him forty years ago with Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. At the time he was considered to be at his best! Ten years later out comes Rust Never Sleeps, at the time, it was considered his best! The truth is that Neil has always been at his best and he will always be the best!! The man is a legend who has been blessed with talent that compares to no other!!

As I grow older, and in to the twilight of life, I will pass on some of the things that I feel I have learned of value. It's awesome how this man makes a whole band just by himself. Voice, guitar only, but still his music is so complete. I'm a big fan only since I saw Dead Man, and I already marveled how he was the whole movie just by himself. I guess that's what one could call a "whole" man. Share the love.

Pinecone has once again shown he still has that garage band spirit- Like a minimalist painter, it shows a more refined, "matured" Young whose creativity still flows free with relativity. He's making some noise in this world like a runaway train holding the tracks around every bend taking us all for a ride. I can even smell a little horse on a few tunes...there are still some roses on that vine.

If you haven't already, check out the video of Daniel Lanois offering reflections on each track...a rare glimpse into the intuitive, organic nature of bringing a work of art into being.

It s been over 30 years since Ronnie Van Zant told Neil Young that a Southern man "don't need him around". . and yet, Neil's still around. From the days of singing "old man, look at my life, I'm a lot like you"... to actually becoming that old man, he's survived. Like him, hate him or ambivalent, it can't be denied that Neil Young is a classic. From his days in Buffalo Springfield to CSNY, he's left his mark to be discussed by music fans for years to come. Shine on man.

@JohnNorthWillys If you can't walk with the big boys, kneel on the porch. The artist's name is Neil, not Neal.... nerd. There are very few who come near Neil's talent level. I'm glad he is still willing to share it with the world. His ability to pour himself into music has amazed me for more than 40 years now. Keep on rockin', Neil!
