That was so bad-ass. I was there that night. As Tom Waits would say: "That too is a lie". I was raised to not like Neil Young. You know the Skynyrd thing, and a lot of guys hated his guitar playing and singing. I went to see Social Distortion open for Neil at the Long Beach Arena in 1992. I was gonna leave After Social D. I stayed and was blown away. Neil was so loud and distorted and loud I became converted. I bought 15 of his albums the next day. If you can't change your mind, you can't change anything.

Most artists simply respect other artists when you get to this level of mastery because visual artists AND elite athletes know that there is no substitute for sweat equity and putting in the 10,000 hrs min for mastery. (10-15 yrs of training-just training-it's not what this generation wants to hear.) There are no shortcuts and no brush that will magically help you compose a still life. And at the end of this performance there will be no oil painting that can capture this fleeting moment in time. I think music captures life a little differently every time you hear a great classic. Such an ephemeral experience-12:34 mins in length of an epiphany! Cheers, from Toronto Stay safe and SANE America ☮

In the summer of ‘93 Soundgarden and Pearl Jam opened for Neil Young at Exhibition stadium in Toronto. The friends I was with were all able to sneak onto the floor but I stayed put when I noticed a security guy had eye-lock on me. I watched the show by myself at the back end of the stadium. When Neil Young was done his set, I kept telling those around me not to leave. Then Neil came back onstage with both opening bands for an encore that included this song. It was truly amazing.

He went to the bass player right away. Because that is what you wold do in order to get your sea legs. Then you get in the groove and you play with the band.

I love how Neil goes up to each musician to acknowledge them during that jam, and then pulls Eddie back to the mic to wrap it up. Great showmanship from one the greatest musicians/songwriters of all time. By the way, Spotify sucks ass.

Yeah now Neil Young promotes Amazon.... Like the music but the man is obviously very confused about justice. Plus it is quite ironic that the man who wrote this song wants to reduce free speech rather than promote it.

Apparently it is because the facts quite literally threaten the narrative. this is where we at quickly headed towards an Owellian future. Keep your head up and eyes open. I don't even touch the dark web because a critical mind who is prepared to read down to the break down in studies and articles and cite raw data does not need to.
