i saw this aged 16, first festival and first exposure to Neil Young. I have been to many festivals since but this set and this song remain immortalised in my brain. i have it on vhs still, but nothing to play it on...

I guess you already know that there is a bootleg CD of this brilliant concert?

So glad to have found this. Was there, we made our way to very front during Alanis Morisette (how ironic) and got totally blown away by Mr Young. Remember Neil starting Cortez and in state of "heightened euphoria" started crying. Great weekend, great festival, the mosh pit in front of Shed Seven was another unbelievable highlight.

What a great tune .Best live version i,ve ever heard .Lucky to be there to witness this .Allegedly Neil Young dedicated this one to Linda Mc Cartney who was at the side of the stage .Linda bless her had little time left on this place .She was a great photographer check her stuff out on google .

Amazing I was there what memories he had the massive festival crowd transfixed. Pure genius. Now making my Pono player for me! Instrumental in my life always.

Someone definitely calls for The Jove at the start of this. I don't know who they are, but since I was there (seriously, the Phoenix was basically a festival in my parents back garden) I probably would have made a slightly damning comment.

Saw this festival and there was not one bad act. Imagine this for a lineup: Beck, Manic Street Porters ( wee in joke) Alanis Morisette ?. Foo Fighters and the great Neil having a wee neurological absence, lol. He was awsome as were Crazy Horse, of course.
