First of all, this is awesome. But the Animorphs did NOT break the law of Seerow's kindness when they accepted the morphing power. Elfangor did. The rule of morphing is do NOT stay in morph for longer than 2 hours, not the other way around. Marco figured out about his mom 10 books before the hammerhead shark thing. That is when Rachel, Tobias, Cassie and Ax found out about her.

Animorphs has an intense amazing complex plot featuring war crimes and torture and dismemberment and horribly involved ethical issues and time travel and Lovecraftian deity figures and trips to alternate realities and absolutely not a happy ending. It's amazing, everyone should check it out.

In one of the books, one of the main characters gets tortured because (EDIT: I had the order of events wrong; replace "because" with "and so later". /EDIT) he's got a special personal enemy among the yeerks who has this weirdly hot girl's body and she even has a cyborg arm attached or maybe that comes later I forget and he had to be the one to go get captured because of an anti-morphing ray because he's the hawk boy and so the Yeerks would think it was broken and I know this is a 9yo comment I just can't resist the opportunity to go off further on the series in the style of the video lol

Yeerks were stuck on their homeworld and it sucked. They met an Andalite named Prince Seerow who gave them Andalite tech. The Yeerks then use that to take over the galaxy. Prince Seerow was dishonored by his people and the law was named after him to prevent lesser races from taking their technology and misusing it. So when Prince Elfangor crashed to earth and gave 5 teenagers the power to morph to fight the Yeerks taking over the planet, he broke the law. Andalites are very prideful and hardcore warriors. They would shun Elfangor if they found out but it didn't matter anyway since Elfangor died fighting Visser Three, a Yeerk leading the invasion on Earth. Visser Three isn't the head honcho, but he's bad news because he took an Andalite host. No the one in charge is actually Visser One, Marco's mom. But there is also the Council of Thirteen. The rest of the Yeerks just have numbers in their names. Their mothership is MASSIVE. The Yeerks have other races they took first before Earth that are their foot soldiers called Hork Bajir and the Taxxons. The Hork Bajir are lizard people who are covered head to toe in sharp blades. They are normally used for peeling the bark off of trees for food but the Yeerks saw them as the perfect weapon. The Hork Bajir were taken against their will, but the Taxxons joined willingly. The Taxxons are giant bugs that eat and eat and eat. They only know hunger. The Yeerks offered them meat. sometimes that meat is human. Taxxons even have been known to devour each other and even themselves. They are used for clean up. Then There's the Ellimist, who aligns with nobody but always interferes like a god figure. The Ellimist is a codename he gave himself and he's pretty much like Q from Star Trek: The Next Generation. He can create, destroy, freeze time, fast forward time, teleport, time travel, but he's playing a sort of game and can't do anything to help the Animorphs directly. But he does help from time to time. For instance, he helps the Hork Bajir by creating a safe area for the Hork Bajir to live on Earth in a place where humans can't detect them and anyone who goes near the area mysteriously turns in the other direction. He's basically god. Because of him, there are free Hork Bajir on Earth. This is also where the Animorphs send their family members when shit hits the fan and the Yeerks reveal themselves to the public and creates mass hysteria. The only one they couldn't save was Jake's brother Tom and his parents. Tom has the parents infested and they all try to kill Jake. Also Rachel sacrifices herself and dies, later appearing before the Ellimist and asks him if her life mattered and he tells her yes. I wouldn't really call this all spoilers since the series has been over since 2001.

I think this is a real method of 'questioning,' except not with confusing book characters. They take a suspect in, present them with tiny details that are critical to the crime and that the suspect was sure nobody would notice at all, and eventually the suspect crumbles, and... yeah. I think about this video a lot and the Animorphs never would have existed without the Ellimist. Elfangor was a human nothlit until the Ellimist warped reality so he could return to the andalite military and give them the morphing cube. Thus giving them the ability to wage guerilla warfare against the yeerks The Crayak also was invested in the conflict because it was his and the Ellimist's final game after millennia of battling over control of the galaxy. The Ellimist representing creation with his champions being the Animorphs and the Crayak representing destruction with his champions being the yeerks. Just two self made cosmic deities fighting a proxy war because fighting each other directly would mean the end of the galaxy, possibly the universe. In fact there wouldn't even be an Earth if it wasn't for the Ellimist. The Crayak was goin to blow it up before humanity even evolved before the Ellimist moved it. So the entire plot of the books wouldn't have happened without the Ellimist or the Crayak. It's like you've never read the Ellimist Chronicles. So Kevin was right.
