I moved to London almost exactly 10 years ago and really loved it at first. But for my 10th anniversary I'm moving back to my country, where I don't have to hide in some doorway just to pick up my phone when I'm outside... It's really sad what is happening here. My friends visited recently after about 8 years (they used to live here) and were literally shocked. If you want to live here, you have to be useful (means work), integrate, and respect the country’s values and culture. I've read the same bullshit of blaming immigration for societies woes in newspapers from every decade in the past 150 years, it's nothing new. Look it up. When will you people learn that the system is the problem. The US is a nation of immigrants, made by mass immigration. And those first immigrants committed genocide. Now it's the descendents of these people, the imperialists, who are causing most of the world's problems. They are causing a perpetual refugee crisis. You're blaming the wrong things and all the while the extreme capitalist exploiters are getting away with destroying the planet and affecting billions of people's lives. You're a useful idiot to the imperialist agenda and you need to realise it and join the people actually trying to make a positive change, instead of blaming 'immigrants'.

Japan has plenty of issues, but admitting to that doesn't fit the narrative that immigrants are to blame for bad trade policies, Brexit fallout, a growing wealth gap even among the native-born population, greed, corruption (British elite love to launder dirty Russian money) and a global pandemic that caused inflation and hardship that the world is still recovering from. So of course the actions taken by the government allegedly because of the alleged pandemic like lock down which helped to destroy the economy has nothing to do with the decline of the UK, nor has the pushing of woke agendas (aka Cultural Marxism) helped destroy the UK by letting people act the victim (blaming other politically acceptable groups like white people not those with charitable foundations like bill gates and George Soros though) rather than taking any responsibility in their life or by the promotion of depravity because you have to live in 'your truth (lie)' and everything is allegedly a social construct so apparently there is no such thing as evil so 'do as thou wilt' should be the whole of the law . Also pushing for net zero based on at best questionable science and at worst biased and floored computer models which cripples industry has nothing to do with the decline. I suppose actions by the banking elites which has increased our national debt when we had to bale them out with money we comedically borrow from another bank has nothing to do with the UK decline. @@David-r8q9l Pardon, but it's not racist or xenophobic to be unhappy that our capital city is only 35% White British (for reference, it was around 85% in the 80s.) It's our CAPITAL. Imagine if that happened to Tokyo. Imagine if Tokyo was only 35% native Japanese people and they were told "shut up and enjoy your diversity!" - that wouldn't happen. And that's not to even mention the constant threat of terrorism, and how dramatically that's changed the atmosphere in our cities, and of course people resent Khan for his comments about that. But now, the native population will never have a vote in London anyway, because they are so dramatically outnumbered by families who've only been here for one or two generations, and quite frankly, shouldn't have anywhere near as much of a say. Guess what % the Tory vote was in the last mayoral election btw? 35%. It's a sad state of affairs, we will never have our capital back, it will never be anything more than a commercial, transitory place for people to flock to and treat like a fast food buffet. And to make matters worse, it's not even remotely safe. No-one is more emblematic of that change than Khan. Try to understand people's actual concerns instead of just calling everyone racist who disagrees with you.

I lived in various parts of London from 1977 to 2017. In 2018 and 2019, I used to visit weekly to do a radio show. The journey from my home in East Anglia used to take 1 Hr 40 mins to the studio in South London. Since the Mayor's insane "traffic planning" and 20 mph zones everywhere, the same journey takes over 4 hours. The last time I visited London was over three years ago, and with remote access to our main studio, I no longer need to go there at all, fortunately. All my friends (with just one exception) who lived in London have left now, and several have even moved to other countries. The city is no longer habitable for white, middle-class English people like me. It's a sad situation and worsens by the day. Other British cities are being destroyed in the same ways - by mass immigration, Islamification, corruption, crime and greed. The UK is close to finished, and I am making plans for emigration (despite my advanced age). Fortunately, I have the finance to be able to do this. There were a lot of the Romani gypsys begging and had tents in grassy medians and on the edges of parks, but we never saw any on the sidewalks. The phone snatching thing is a real issue and we did see those masked villains on ebikes and scooters. You have to be very aware how and when you use your phone. I would go for walks on my own (female in my 60s) at night, on busy street and walk along the Thames, never hassled (wanted to soak as much in.) The parks and museums are wonderful and free. Food is was cheaper than my last visit to NYC or Boston, and the quality and variety of cuisines is vast. Visited several other areas in the UK, the other two I really enjoyed were Cornwall and my new favorite place on the planet Scotland. Wow what a beautiful country. The Scots are extra lovely people. Being from the U.S., I enjoyed visiting London in the 1970's. It was SO much safer, clean and uplifting back then. Today it has become a dangerous and depressing dystopia. Same can regrettably said about New York City. We lived/worked in Manhattan when Giuliani and Bloomberg were each mayor. It was an enjoyable, clean and relatively safe city back then. Never imagined it would deteriorate as it has and so quickly, all of which began with Democrat and Communist leaning De Blasio as mayor.

That has nothing to do with democrats or communism, it is defined as "LIBERALS"

This is a result of neoliberalism policies that started in the 80s. The rest of Europe is having the same cultural degredation. China has averted neoliberalism and life quality improving there rapidly each decade because of it.

3:41 Men sitting on the sidewalks is a typically 3rd World culture / ghetto thing. You see it throughout Africa, particularly in the townships. The same "characters" were doing it in Hong Kong in the early 2000's. You'll see the identical behavior in unsavory inner cities in the USA.

Exactly…it’s in the DNA and no matter how much money we throw at it or how much we try to change things to accommodate in hopes that they will integrate it will never change…it will only get worse to the point that their way becomes the law of the land. I’ve been to two latin American countries and and have watched many videos on Africa and I see the same behavior even in several generational Americans .
