Amazing to think that they were still showing PIFs made well over a decade ago in the early 90s.

The 1970s PIFs still being shown in 1992 are astonishing - although Liam Howlett got his Charley Says sample for the famous Prodigy song by just recording it off TV one morning, and that would only have been a year or two earlier! The fog PIF at 6:05 lasted right into the late 1990s, while the Keith Floyd one at 7:32 would have been quite new at the time and was an ITV Nighttime staple well into the mid-2000s.

Joe Sugden & Mrs. Frank Spencer in the PIF for Hard Shoulders, Derek Nimmo, Richard Briers & Kenneth Williams-all talent now sadly no longer with us.

True, but Kenneth Williams isn't in any of these!

Michele Dotrice (aka Mrs Frank Spencer) is still very much alive however Neil Innes (on screen husband in the Hard Shoulder PIF) is no longer with us. So is Keith Floyd in the chip pan fire PIF

Also in that hard shoulder pif, the announcer is the great Patrick Allen.

The motorway PIF narrator sounds like Protect and Survive or the lottery man.

It is Patrick Allen, the veteran actor of "Crane" fame (1963).
