NEJE Max 4 CNC Engraver / cutter / plotter + E80 laser modul + drawing pen [unbox/review/first test]

Hy There,
In this video i'll show you my new Neje engraver, it's NEJE max 4 with E80 laser modul.
This latest NEJE product is really amazing, neje max 4 itself offer us many upgrades from neje 3 max, like better stronger frame, bigger accuracy, motorized Z axis, and much more...
About E80 laser modul i got only one word to say: Monster.
Neje max 4 i test in this video is one of first versions, new version already has some improvement like:
-X and Y cable chains included
-pen holder for drawing is longer
-E80 has new air assist nozzle, wich is shorter so you can use bigger "z step per pas" value without worried that lens hit the wood.

Made in Chian.. I cracked up. As always, excellent review. The machine is really nice but the price hurts in my pocket :) I followed the link provided for this machine and ended up spending more time at the plain neje 3 page lol. Keep warm playing in your new workshop.

I have TWO NEJE 3 Max v2 machines! I'd love to get a max 4 e-80! I bought my first one out the door for $491.00. I loved it. Then NEJE came out with the Max 4, and put the max 3 v2 on sale, And I just couldn't pass it up, out the door for $269. It's in the closet still, haven't even put it together yet. NEJE makes a great laser, to be honest, I shopped around a LOT! The two year warranty sold me. I got it last December, and it has run most of the time I've had it, still going. I truly figured I'd have worn it out by now!

@@steveparry7364 yup, when i make this review neje4 with E80 cost more than 800-900$ so my face was like 😳 when i see neje4 with E80modul for i think $500 wich was price only for modul at begginning, also as you said great machines...

Great review. First independent review I've seen of the Max 4 since it was released a while back. Still in two minds about it, the z axis feature is a plus as well a using a cutter blade and pen module. I'll probably get one at a later date still have a lot of use from my Max 3 with an E80 module.

Great review, thank you. To get better cuts can’t you lower the Z-axis in between passes to adjust the focal point? I believe that will allow you to save time because it should require less passes.

Meni je neje top kar imam izkušenj z kitajci, za les seveda za plastiko in kovino pa prihaja video o gweike g2 fiber laser za podobno ceno 👌

Sadly I bought the Max 4 half a year ago and mine also didn't have the cable chains and there is also a really great deal where you can get the Max 4 with E80 module for almost the same price that I have paid for Max 4 with A40640 Module. But I'm stil very happy with the Max 4 and A40640🙂 Is there an upgrade kit available for cable chain conversion?

Hello, neje always improve their machines, almost every version had some cont at first versions, but they fix it really fast when reaceiving feedback from buyers. There is cable chain for neje 4 on their online store, check for them, alao i really missed them, hope they ship me one so i can make a video about cable chain install.

Hello , Could you specify setting for the pen plotting ? The pen is alway in contact with paper . You also have same situation on the top of you paper . Constant line during depicting . The head is alway on target z-axis position/ I will appricient your supposrt/ Thank you in advance .

Hi, I was just about to buy this laser via Aliexpress but then watched your video. You now have me scared and confused when you say it cannot engrave softwood very well because its too powerful?? Surely it can modulate the power down? I know there are settings like 50% power etc, why would this not be enough to get a good engraving? I mainly want to us this to engrave cedar wooden items that I make. Id also like to be able to cut a bit of 18mm cedar but that is not as important. From what you said I wont get good engravings on cedar with this. Its western red cedar, very light and soft. Can you explain a bit more how this is a problem and why turning the power down wont fix it?

It can engrave if you lower down the speed and power, otherwise it make too deep and bright engrave, because it cut in deep instead of burn the surface due to its power, i alwqys use lower power modul for engraving because it make better deep black engrave. Extra modul low power is about 30$ and deffinitely worth a buy so you got covered every job.

@@TinC33 So are you saying for $30 I can buy a low powered laser "head" or module to replace the 20w laser on the Max 4? That sounds like a great idea, is it a Neje laser? Do you have a link to the module? Is it plug and play? Why not just do the engraving at a lower power? If I run the 20w laser at 25% why would it be any different to a 5w laser? Thanks so much for the info :)

@@MrChargin depend on what type of neje 4 you take, if you take neje e80 it work on 24v (only E80 work on 24v) so you need to buy also 12v power supply for all other moduls, look on neje store or cjeck the links here in video description. I always advise to take (if your budget allow) neje4 with E80modul(wich is simply a beast for cutting + extra modul 3,5w or 20w is still good for engraving + in that case 12v 5a power supply, so you got everything you need

I just checked, subtitles are already there, you can also select italian language, but subtitles are created by yt itself.

@@duzzy1269 aha ok, there already is a plastik into cables, but it's deformed because of shipping, so all i do is unscrew it and turn arround for 180degree so it's bended in other side and screw it back 😉
