In its way, another masterpiece, Nekkid. Not the watch, that had always been at or close to top of the shop. It's you Nekkid. You are what makes that repair a masterpiece. If for nothing else, for knowing and expecting glass fragments to have migrated as far as they did. I was amazed and appalled at just how far jagged and vicious shards had migrated into the tiniest interstices. All the buffing and polishing is what we now expect from you, mate and it was as good as it always is, but it was hunting down the last, infinitesimal motes of sapphire dust that did it for me. Masterpiece of a masterclass. Cosmic.

I will never have a nice watch. The closest thing is my Seiko that I got for HS graduation back in 1989. I put it away when I joined the Navy and just found about a year ago. doesn't work, replaced the battery but still something wrong. But, here's my point finally, even though I am not a watch guy, I am a sucker for watching people at the height of their craft. I watch painting videos, I watch sports, I watch restoration videos, I watch woodworks, glass blowers, welders...A whole lot of watching people be good at things I will never be good at. This is purely from an admiration and inspiration point of view. In some cases I even learn things that transcend disciplines. But you my friend are in the 'Supreme' tier as far as I am concerned. Not just the watch restoration, but the video and audio quality, the editing, the narration and yes even the humor. I love your videos. Who knows, maybe after I get my car fixed, I might get my Seiko watch repaired.

Hi Nekkid such a joy watching your videos what an incredible experience you Sit have such a wonderful and amazing skill you have I bet the owner of that Rolex GMT when I get it in is wrist he should see how much work you had done 👍 If the watch was taken to Rolex service 2/3 months plus big shrunk of cash 💰! And I would bet the service wouldn’t be done with such a care and joy like you did it ! Wish you had long life doing what you love to do ! Fixing watches with pleasure not like some other watchmaker’s work at least as far as I know in my country it’s pain in button to find such nice and trusted watchmaker all are in AD’s hands or better said all go to Lisbon lots of time and huge cash 💰 had a broken Certina 2824-2 the crown pusher was broken and waited 2 months paid around 150€ this was around 2016 more or less they cut it little bit so it doesn’t pop off when it’s unscrewed as it should! Poor job plus they said it was done by Ad Watchmaker 😢 ! I know it’s not a Rolex but at least the job should be well done not just cut it and poor job and expensive! All the best to you Nekkid keep doing your work with good health sir ! 😊👌

Damn, I've seen so many "watchmaker" videos on youtube, and this is the only one that doesn't send my anxiety through the roof. Not once did i think DUDE WTF ARE YOU DOING...!.!.! I won't say who but im sure you know 😂. I've been doing this for 30 year's and for the first time on here, I've actually learnt something. Well done mate you obviously love your job, Respect your customer's and the timepiece. This is a first for me on you tube. If you watch this sort of thing you'll know what i mean. My dad was 73 when he passed and started watchmaking at 14, so almost 60 years. I was 22 when i started and im now 53. Another spectacular restoration!! I had the same accident with my Explorer 2.....I immediately stopped the movement and sent the watch to my watchmaker......everything worked out well with only a new crystal and some other parts as the watch was 18 years old. One of the best Rolex videos I’ve seen. I have that model (I did gave a much older GMT, with the aluminium insert, in years gone by). It was very interesting to see how the entire process of disassembly, cleaning, oiling and reassembling, was done: and the refurbishment of the case too. AN impressive demonstration of skill and experience. Mine was serviced a few years ago and now gains about 2.8 seconds a day - I timed it over about 60 days using the watchtracker app on my phone (no, honestly,I’m not obsessed about knowing the time of day to the second😂. I just admire exquisite engineering). Again, thank you for uploading this interesting and educational video.
