Today, we will look at the various features the F1 gaming community desires for the F1 game. Every year, players seek improvements to enhance their gaming experience. In recent years, we have seen some minor enhancements in certain areas, but there have also been significant downgrades. In this video, we will highlight several features from previous F1 games that we want to see return, as well as introduce new ideas that have not been implemented before which could greatly enhance the overall experience for players on a Formula 1 Game. And many of them wouldn't require huge amounts of effort, i get it that the real voices of drivers and engineers or f3 would cause problems because of licensing, but for example donuts after last race or pre season testing, even well-made press conferences would add so much depth into the career mode, which is currently basically dead and ended up being drive + upgrades in menu game mode

One thing I wish they'd add for F2 driver career mode is you have a chance to drive for a particular F1 team for a weekend. Something like Bearman filling in for Sainz. And if you impress the team, you have a higher chance of signing for that team. I know a lot of people don't play the F2 career and jump to F1, but it would be nice if they added stuff to F2 to give it more love. Oh, and the option to make liveries instead of choosing from a preset.

Red Flags in Qualifying and practice would be great. Outlap after the red flag. More crashes, more safety cars, vscs and red flags, more and realistic penalties fro driver and AI, heavy rain qualis, so sometimes the qualifying is on race day, options to turn off the sprint in carreer mode, rolling start...but very nice ideas in that video too!

These are the type of changes we need! Not new modes or multiplayer gimmicks, but features which can have impact on every game we play like the pitstops and victory lap. The only thing missing in this video, for me, is cars being slowly recovered with a crane like gp4 instead of magically dissappearing

I have some ideas. Some of that ideas is: To add more customization options for the car liveries, drivers and the team. More options for advertisements or advertisements downloaded from the internet. Having the option of developing your own engine with the sound you want. Having the option of the year in which you want to start your career (Classic Career Mode).

So many great ideas to improve the masterpiece that F1 24 is. Luckily we all know that Codemasters won't include any of these but instead add about 13 billion new pieces of furniture for you to display in your lobby

Another cool feature would be make your own engine for team Carrer and creating your own f3 and f2 junior team (maybe with drivers created by the game like fc25) and add some post Carrer features (like managing your junior team or the team that you left, maybe with the ability to drive with one of the drivers in your teams)

Some I would add to these and it might be worth its money - I know some are impossible to implement, but many of these were solved by other games: -Real sponsors on my team cars and custom helmets -actual gravel traps with varying depth -realistic radio blackouts/malfunctions -pit stop mistakes when coming in without confirmation (crew would need 20-30 seconds to confirm depending on amount of changes) -announced pit crew readiness of other teams (with some throwing dummies) -manual controls from garage to parc ferme: collecting tire-marbles on the in-lap for being above the weight limit, cooling the car so it does not overheat in parc ferme -penalties for driving on with a badly damaged car -spreading oil and other liquids on track that could cause red flags -> powdered parts of the track that slowly disappear over the weekend -structural damage after heavy crashes: engine cover/sidepods getting exposed -drive to grid before the race with multiple laps available if you drive through the pit lane -pit lane starts (if you fail to drive to grid/or have a penalty from earlier sessions, change of setups during parc ferme) -drive out before the pit lane opens (possible queing when rain is imminent at start of session) -pit stop during formation lap (when weather changes quickly) - consequent pitlane start -location-dependent weather (rain only in a few turns that spreads) -dry lines after rain for x amount of laps (depending on track temperature and ambient humidity) -grid penalties for impeding at blue flags -more complex ERS and differential management -even rubber layer on ideal line, not this scribbly randomness that we get in the straights. -track personnel extinguishing fires, pushing/towing the cars behind the barriers during SC -no VSC ending when there is still a car stopped on track -turn off radio-tutoring (I get what the pit-exit white line means, and I know when to use the pit limiter) Some extras that would be fun: Race control mode (make decisions about VSC, SC, Red Flag, penalties - helpful for online league racing), after-race investigations and discussions with stewards, free grid walk with national anthem before the formation lap, interviews during the drivers parade lap

I'd like to have a feature like in F1 2005 or 2006 where you start as a test driver for a bad team and work your way to the top. And if you want to change to a better team at the end of the season you have to fulfill tasks in tests rather than just picking the team you want to race for.

One of my favorite features which would be really easy to add would be so that each team has a different color pallete at the start of each season for example: The red bull could become purple or light blue The ferrari darker or light mercedes reintroduces full silver or black among others

Pitstops in qualifying should be possible also, so you can change the tires without entering the garage. Because of that you'll be able to go for another run much faster, with less fuel of course but that's to be the choice of the player (go for a pitstop and only change the tires or enter the garage to refuel and change the tires also)

Engine sounds and better handling are tied. I’d like to see upgrades that are added to the car and liveries for selected tracks.

Four things off the top of my head I would love to see: 1) Not just the return of classic cars and tracks but full classic seasons. It'll never happen of course but imagine being able to get DLC for past seasons with all the cars, drivers and tracks from one particular year! 2) A helmet/visor cam like in Need for Speed Shift or the Project Cars games. 3) Being able to manually control your car in the pitlane whether it's leaving or entering the pitlane. 3) Marshalls running out onto the track to move retired cars out out the way and marshalls waving flags at the side of track at the end of a race like in the Geoff Crammond Grand Prix games. It's a little detail but it's something that adds atmosphere to the game in my opinion.

you know what would be epic…is to have one of these f1 games but have a season editor….and there are multiple season car sets along with all the tracks that were in that season…but also for example..estoril and silverstone had changes during 1994 but if you wanted to race a 1994 portuguese gp…you could choose to have the same track but in its 1993 configuration as the editor would already include the 1992 full season. Also where we currently have the odd classic f1 cars in these more recent f1 games…these car sets woud run from day 1990 through to 2009 and then the f1 2010 game would pick it up from there

If we could get an amalgamation of the stuff we had at the end of the pre codemasters era from CE like the more in depth driver Career with starting as test driver and doing proper setup work in practice sessions under the guidance of the engineers, and the new stuff codies added in the early iterations of their games before taking it all away bit by bit, we'd have an amazing game. I've played every single F1 game since the mid 2000's and still to this day believe that an updated F1 CE with current games graphical and handling improvements mixed in with some of the better features codies gave us would be the best F1 game ever. I so miss arriving at a track and having the engineer send me out for a few laps then call me back, make some setup adjustments for me and send me out again until we've narrowed in on a setup together like real life. Really gets you into the event from the start, unlike now where it's just arrive at event, load setup from online that's 99% always the same left left right right max this min that broken setup and away you go. Tell me what my teammate is running, give me some feedback, don't just stand there like a bunch of brainless numpties while I do everything.

I would also add the "random unsportsmanlike events" feature in the championship mode. They will occur rarely, 1-3 times per season (but you can configure them more often). these are events that complicate some part of the ring for one or more laps, for example, fans lit so many smoke bombs that now some straight line is poorly visible. or in some area, Bob ran out onto the highway. And on urban highways, there is occasional debris on the highway. And for example, a plastic bag can get on the radiator and worsen engine cooling, and only after driving to the pit stop can you remove it.

Give us the ability to customize our teammate own strategy and depending on their prestige they will follow it or make changes. So for example. A Rookie may follow the strategy exactly as planned pre race. An experienced and/or highly rated driver may make calls on the fly during the race depending on the situation to improve their position.

The sad thing is that many of these things have been discarded and we're present even in the 20th century games! Above all, the damage dynamics is incomprehensible. Uhm, wait... In reality the official reason (I can't remember the source where I read it many years ago) is that sponsors didn't like their logos to be "ruined" after a damage...

the last point being Better handling is in my opinion personal preference. some people like the handling of F1 2021 or F1 23 and then other like the handling of F1 24. its all up to personal preference in my eyes. i for example like the handling in F1 24 better then the handling in F1 23 because i am on controller and i love when the car turns when i want it too. anyway great video and most of these things should definitely be in the F1 games.
