I was told all my life (starting in childhood) "don't be negative, don't talk about anything unless it's happy, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all".. Having gone through multiple traumas, (which nobody really ever wanted to listen to me talk about) I have tried to just avoid and move on, thinking focusing on the bad stuff would just engrain the negative neural synaptic loops in my brain, but this sounds liberating. Will try it! It's free, why not?

Okay, I've been through trauma about 10 years ago. I haven't been able to talk about it and much has also been a lesson for the future. So I can feel that every period has its time, so immediately after an experienced trauma, it is probably a time of sorting and generally thinking about "the thing". But now, and after all these years, I will try to process the feelings in depth and expressive writing is what I will use. It will be exciting to feel the result of this. I have experienced many who advocated this method and became "healthy! to be able to live normal lives and be able to move on with the trauma as a mere experience.
