He is correct about the use of nuclear weapons on Japan. They should have never been used. President Harry Truman had already gotten a letter from the Japanese emperor himself saying that he was going to surrender, however Truman saw this as a sign that they were vulnerable for attack and decided to use his shiny new superweapons that he inherited from the true hero of America, Franklin D Roosevelt. Not only were these weapons invented with great reluctance by the best minds in the world, men like Oppenheimer who was almost in tears when he saw the first nuclear test- "low, I am Shiva. The destroyer of worlds", but even Truman's own generals said not to use them, that America would be hated by the whole world. Harry Truman really wanted to show Stalin who was boss and caused a Cold War that need not have happened.
@LiveForPanda10 жыл бұрын
The US never received any letter from Japan. Some Japanese leaders wanted to surrender with conditions, such as keeping colonies and occupied territories, but some military leaders wanted to fight until the last one died. They even had a plan to overthrow the emperor and establish a military giv. that would never surrender. Nukes were needed to be dropped.
@SupaDupaaFlyy8 жыл бұрын
Even though I agree that the US isn't no angel and savior of the world, I do disagree with you that Japan magically sent a letter to the US. The emperor himself NEVER mentioned the word surrender in his radio broadcast, when Japan ceased fire. Japan wanted a conditional surrender, which the US refused to give. While this was happening, Japanese troops were fighting in Manchuria, against the USSR. The Imperial Japanese Army was ready to fight to the death, even if it meant killing it's own people. I know this was commented 3 years ago, but I just hate it when people spew BS.

Nelson Mandela has returned to his Creator. If there was one man in our time who truly embodied that spirit of struggle, it was Nelson Mandela. Of the rewards that Allah gives a person in this life is respect and fame, and it is very likely that the genuine love all felt towards him was a result of his sincere efforts to help the weak and oppressed of his nation, and fight the unjust, tyrannical, inhumane and un-Islamic notion of Supremacy and Apartheid. Another benefit that we as Muslims can derive from Nelson Mandela's life is that truth shall always win in the end. For much of his life, Mandela was labelled a terrorist (even by the US and UK). Eventually, his efforts were recognised and became his country's president. 'Terrorists' are relative, and when one is fighting for the truth, in a legitimate and Islamic manner, eventually his cause shall be victorious, even if the opposer's of truth despise it. May Allah guide us all to truth, humility and sincere action.

the president and the other representatives such as congress and senate are not corrupt because of the amount of the paycheck they get every 2 weeks, it is about the pay offs that the position of their jobs gives them when used for purposes other than for what the elected person was voted in for.......this is beyond most people to comprehend as it is something that is practically "alien" to them, it would be as if you could understand another culture in an instant of observation...you cannot. The true power of the corrupt elected is twofold: to push an agenda that they are passionate about and/or compelled to follow, 2nd, the pay offs from corporate entities to associates, family, friends and allies of the elected in conjunction with pursuing reason number 1.......Throughout the entire history of mankind from the moment we came into contact with currency and usury, the world has been at war...it is a physical representation of animal in mankind, we will always fight each other in one form or another.....the desire to be alpha is in our DNA.....
