I think you should deviate a bit from the character art where you see fit - you were right about the grey/silver kinda mixing together, though the shiny metal definitely stands out against the matt grey. I might go with khaki or army green for my dude (if he ever arrives).

I think it turned out pretty good... if he is a soldier, he shouldn't stand out too much like a sore thumb. I tend to never use colored paints, I usually mix from base red/blue/yellow and white/black. I also use india ink as well with silver/gold and mix.

I couldn't agree more about necromancer cloak, If you can never go to straight black. It's like a safety net. If you go to straight black there is nothing darker so you paint yourself into a corner. Great video.

Highly suggest getting some P3 Formula and Secret Weapon Acrylic colours. They would really help give you some awesome colours to use

I have just received my wave 1 Nemesis and am in the process of painting the core box. I will say that this prototype looks to have more detail than the one supplied. Possibly because the prototype is resin? I have found the heroes in the core box to be lacking in detail and quite difficult to paint. I really like the way you painted the captain. I doubt that mine will look anywhere near as good as this!?

The heroes in the core box do have fairly bad detail, unfortunately :( Awaken Realms took a lot of heat for that.

@@WatchItPaintIt I understood that they were updating them for this wave but if this is an improvement......??!!!!! I mentioned on BGG that Endure the Stars, Zombicide Invader and Chronicle X all have minis that could be used instead. Which I probably will do, even though I am painting the core minis. No excuse from AW as they are capable of doing better? The Intruders are great?

Yeah, I hear ya. I bought the core box and the expansion - but I might not have if I had seen the miniatures first. I also own Invaders - using those miniatures instead is a good idea - but annoying.

@@WatchItPaintIt I didn't think that the Endure the Stars figures were amazing but they painted up pretty well and are lots better than the Nemesis ones. It is annoying because I do like Awaken Realms games.

I read something on Internet. As vallejo paint, use water 1:1 for base and 1:3(water) for layer. Do you paint like this way or other way?

That sounds decent actually. It varies from colour to colour. But something around those ratios as a rough guide is pretty good!

The zenithal is definitely easier on a large model! Though I think with more blending it might have worked on this guy - all in all though, it looks great to me! When IS this game coming? I thought it was coming this month, but I haven't received it :| Also I LOVE your addition of the "wasted" scenes haha. I always cut mistakes out of my videos so I can trick people into thinking that I'm a pro, but I drop the dammed things all the time.

Yeah definitely. I mean it kind of worked here, it was just a lot of effort for a small increase in quality. I thought wave 1 was this month too? But I’m wave 2 :-( Haha funny the wasted clip has come up almost twice in a row! Just happen to be working on models with loose bases. Just filmed a third last week :-( was thinking of mixing up the death clip :D

Unfortunately the game was delayed due to the Christmas rush I believe. Pretty sure everyone got a shipping notice change on their gamefound account. So hopefully the first wave is on it's way!

Do you honestly post one miniture just every 8 months?? Can someone please finally show a way to quickpaint the aliens? I mean, to esily spray or paint 10 of them in let's say one hour? Just to make them look like they are presented by the publisher? There are no videos to be found on the entire planet. 😧

I post at least one video every single week.... There's no videos to be found yet because no one has the game yet? I only have 4 of their miniatures full stop, and I've painted 3 before the game has even arrived. I bought sundrop too, so I'm not sure if I will do the aliens when they arrive, even though I think (having now seen sundrop) I could do this method to all of them in about an hour :-D I just need to borrow someone else's set to film it!

No problem! Nope I don’t have my copy either :-) I’m waiting like everyone else. In fact I only paid for wave2 shipping so I won’t have them for ages! When I get hold of some aliens (if someone is near by and wants them doing) I’ll try and show how to do the sundrop effect on them, I think it’s good enough for the aliens and will be super quick!

Cool, that would be nice. Thanks. I have never painted "anything", so sundrop... will I have to buy a... I don't know what the English term is, let's call it "spraying pistol"? 😂 Or will be colors and brushes enough?

@@svensify From what I can tell, it requires 2 spray cans (~$15 each) and some blood paint (~$3). But I haven't seen them in person yet! So I will see what I can do!
