Hearing you talk about Monokuma vs Korosensei made me very happy it’s a fantastic idea and really has a ton of potential from a interaction and storytelling perspective. And seeing all the shenanigans that can come from the Monokuma army his arsenal and how they blend with Korosensei’s personality with some really impactful potential if utilized well. Well, I’m glad y’all can like it, since I absolutely despise it. It’s genuinely the only matchup I give enough of a shit about to hate. Weird thing is is that I love both series. They just don’t work when put in a fight against each other, since Monokuma is just so much slower than Koro-Sensei he has no realistic way of actually getting any hits in. Also the connections are bland, which don’t even go into their characters for the most part. The only positive this matchup has is the banter, which both characters have in much better matchups. But hey, if you like it, that great! Not gonna judge you there.

@@roboticminer8843 realistically monokuma would be slower, but one who cares the animation would be eye candy anyways, and two Junko's ultimate analyst talent can probably just predict most of Korosensei's moves anyways. The biggest thing I have against the matchup is that the debate isn't fun, with Korosensei getting stomped into oblivion, but I like the match more than both opponents other matchups by a wide margin

One of the match ups I absolutely want to see is Kazuma from Konosuba vs Subaru from Re:Zero. It is a matchup that I have grown to love mostly because I was in it for getting Konosuba in death battle, but after I finally watched Re:Zero I just want it so much more. The fun banter they could have as well as the possiblity for an absolutely knee slapping episode or on that has the same tragic nature as magneto vs tetso. I love the connection and how both the characters and series competent and contrast.

I second Disgaea, and also Soil Nomad, it's epic edgy cousin, but there's a huge problem? How can their power level be objectively measured? Their stats are based off of RPG numbers and leveling, a matchup with Soul Nomad will never happen because there's literally nothing to measure their acts with even in the character's own game, making analysis brain bustingly difficult at best!

touhou project definitely has good mu potential one problem: researching it alone's gunna be hell, considering the manga (afaik, correct me if im wrong) isn't officially localized. most feats are namedropped in the games and other official media as to what they can do, rather than shown (again, correct me if I'm wrong) EDIT: oh yeah right, RISKS. quite a few will be taken if touhou is to appear in death battle. given their track record, it's not hard to say they may screw it up in research, but the potential battles could be awesome

Kid Danger vs Leo Dooley. I just think that this would be a very different but funny and interesting fight idea. They have a few interesting connections. They both are from superhero comedy tv shows that was made mainly for kids and teens, they were both in their early teens (about 13) when they winded up being exposed to secret layers of superheroe(s) and was forced to keep it a secret, and at some point during their series, after just being normal humans for the longest, they winded up receiving super powers so that they can be a better help at fighting supervillains. I dont know how this would play out, but I would love to see this as a Death Battle.😂

Shockingly that's the same with me with Fairy Tail being my gateway anime with Yu-Gi-Oh being a childhood show that I didn't realize was an anime at the time, but for me it was pokémon instead of Beyblade And it would be cool to see a Yu-Gi-Oh Death Battle and of course LittleKuriboh would be the go to vo for these characters and I am confident he can tone down the jokes for a more intimidating Yami Marik, he can be intimidating when he wants to be, his work as Frieza is clear on that

2 of my most wanted matchups of all time are actually new franchises: Jace Beleren vs The Dark Magician (Magic: the Gathering vs Yugioh), and The Hunter vs The Hunter (Monster Hunter vs Bloodborne). Would be amazing if they used any of these franchises anyways, since they're some of my favorites they haven't used yet, even if it's some of their other matchups like that Beyblade 1 for Yugioh. Of course, some of my other most wanted are in the video already, so based list!

How would you do the Monster Hunter in Death Battle though? That series is literally built on its insane customizability... Unless you want to go with a specific version of the Hunter, like say, the MvC version. It might be more realistic to hope for one of the monsters making it in instead (probably a Rathalos, or maybe the Fatalis).

@@MIrfanPerdana Probably the same way they just did Warframe, with Excalibur's 500+ weapons. If we're looking at who is most likely to win a fight and not who would win 1 very specific instance, which DB does, then we'd be looking at the entirety of their arsenals to see who has access to potential counters to the other's abilities (poison res to counter poison weapons, which instance of each doesn't matter). Since the Monster Hunter can also always Farcaster back to their supplies, this approach also works in the animation. It helps that no matter what game, the Monster Hunters have consistent weapons and skills: same access to inflicting certain status conditions/blights, same access to armor/decorations that give resistances, same peak durability of surviving the Fatalis, etc.

@@ogopogoagogo The connections are pretty surface-level, and mostly in their power sets, but it sets up an MtG vs Yugioh match, so until I figure out a better 1 between these franchises I really like it. It's basically just the illusion mages from 2 of the most popular tcgs. There's probably more connections that can be reasoned out, but I'm not as familiar with either series's lore.

There's a lot I like about this list. #4 is especially inspired. I also want to see an army vs. army fight. If I had to pick, it would be Handsome Jack and Hyperion vs. Kerrigan and the Zerg. I feel their scopes and tech levels would give a fight close enough to be interesting. In addition, the single fight I want to see the most is Bender Bending Rodriguez vs. Inspector Gadget.

Love the matchups listed here. Another one I'd love to see would be The Prisoner from Dead Cells vs Zagreus from Hades. Two rogue-lite heroes that treat dying like it's every other tuesday. Both are pretty hot headed and impulsive and have really impressive arsenals. Zagreus with his god boons and the Prisoner with the sheer amount of different weapons he has. Besides their rash personalities, Zagreus has sort of a silver tongue and it would be fun seeing him try to talk to the Prisoner while the Prisoner just doesn't give a shit. (plus the Prisoner can't talk)

One matchup I would love to see (but damn well know will never happen) is Alex Rider VS Nagisa Shiota. This is probably my dream match and I'll explain why. Connections - 14 to 15 year olds - Surprisingly good at what they do - Can lose it enough to kill (Alex actually has before) - Both have been to space (no I'm not joking) - Both have issues with parents (Nagisa's mother is mentally abusive, and Alex's mother and father are.. well, dead) - Both can be spotted in a crowd (Alex is tall, silver haired l and has a funny accent, and Nagisa is short, has blue hair, and is often mistaken for a girl due to him tying his hair in pig tails) - Both are either traumatized or become traumatized in their series Again, it will probably never happen, but I will push for it as much as Biff Weed pushes for Sans VS Koro Sensei lol

Great vid! It’s neat hearing people talk about matchups they’re really passionate about (even if the episode 2 segment is over 8 minutes long good lord). Here are some new series matchups that I’d like to see. Killua Zoldyck vs Tao Ren (Hunter X Hunter vs Shaman King): two boys trained to be ruthless killers from a young age who, after an encounter with the super likable protagonist of their series, need to be rescued from their super-controlling family by said protagonist. Afterwards they (mostly) give up their murderous ways, become bffs with the protagonist, and get lightning powers. Also they’re pretty even in terms of stats from what I’ve seen, so it would be a fairly close fight. Medaka Kurokami vs Izuru Kamakura (Medaka Box vs Danganronpa): two protagonists who are super OP within their respective universes due to their powers being “having the powers of everyone else”, leading them to become so strong that they become sort of detached from everyone else. While Medaka believes her powers are meant to help others, Izuru sees the world as dull and boring, leading him to use his abilities in a very cynical manner. This dichotomy could lead to some interesting dialogue and scenarios, even if this matchup is kind of a stomp in Medaka’s favor. Tsunayoshi Sawada & Reborn vs Tatsumi Oga & Baby Beel (Katekyo Hitman Reborn vs Beelzebub): two protagonists of slice of life comedies/battle shonens, and the babies that give them their superpowers. Tsuna’s more timid and soft spoken nature contrasts well with Oga’s more aggressive and dickish personality, leading to opportunities for some really funny exchanges. They’re also both pretty even stat-wise, and I just want these two series to get more attention. Dave Strider vs Sakuya Izayoi (Homestuck vs Touhou Project): yeah, this one’s never happening (I’m pretty sure Liam said in a DBCast that the one series they won’t cover on Death Battle is Homestuck), but it’s a really dumb matchup that won’t leave my brain. Two surprisingly overpowered characters from series with very passionate online fanbases who fight with blades and very similar time manipulation powers. Not as much of a connection here, I just think the matchup is neat.

I've always had 3 match ups that follow this that i've always wanted to see: 1) Invader Zim vs. Sgt. Keroro: Two small green militaristic aliens that are somewhat incompetent despite a varied arsenal, with the difference being that one is disgraced and delusional while the other one can be competent but under earth's climate has a hard time being so. This has East vs. West, both having wide arsenals, and unique traits that allow each other to have advantages over the other. 2) William Afton vs. Dr. Bright: Bright minds with darkened souls trapped within the depths of relics of their own misfortune, this both brings in FNAF and SCP in a manner that doesn't make the series too shoehorned while posing interesting dilemmas about how one could kill the other. Could Afton figure out SCP-963's properties before Bright gets the better of him, or could Bright even use SCP-963 to rewrite Springtrap at all? That and more allow this match up to be one of the more interesting ones I don't see...ever really. 3) Hank J. Wimbleton vs. Killer Bean: C'mon, two unstoppable one man armies with not just impeccable aim and a propensity for fire arms, but are not even human! They scream "pit me against each other" almost better than Jason vs. Michael, the fight would be nothing but a high stake battle that uses everything in their vicinity as weapons of violence and only going down until every last inch of life is beaten from them, if that doesn't sound fun as a fight then something is wrong with you.

while think Ryouma vs double is really cool, the first fate fight I would like to see, is Shirou Emiya vs Kamijou Touma (from the toaru series) since I think they are really interesting parallels of heroism, one of them doing it out of guilt and the desire to make the world better and the other doing it because they just want to with no greater purpose.

Good hypothetical season (even though I personally don't know a good chunk of the characters here), though it would really suck if Monokuma vs Koro Sensei happened. I sorta get why people like it, but I despise the matchup. Koro Sensei is my favorite character of all time and I'd want a matchup that can match his character and isn't 80% contrasts. I'll give the matchup credit for having good banter potential, but that's about it. And while Monokuma isn't my first pick for a Danganronpa character in Death Battle (even though I love Monokuma), I'd much rather he got a matchup that reflects his personality well. But yeah, outside of that one matchup, good hypothetical season.

My personal big hope is still Dominic Santiago vs Isaac Clarke (Gears vs Dead Space). With the Dead Space reboot coming around, it could be relevant, and they are still making Gears games. Plus the theming of the matchup is like, perfect and I really enjoy how well the character would match up and could see lots of potential for the fight too.

I'd personally love to see Aloy from Horizon vs Atreus from God of War. They're both Sony mascots, they're both skilled archers and hunters, they're both the child of a "god," they both spent their whole lives in isolation only to later learn their lives served a much bigger purpose, and it would be a classic battle of technology vs magic. It'd have to wait until after GoW Ragnarok to give Atreus more to work with, but it just feels so perfect to me.

Man, that first matchup got me going from the thumbnail itself, i love Mazinger Z since I was a little kid so seeing Koji Kabuto and the strongest super robot in a DB would be amazing, though I don't know if having a Mazinger Z with everything would be the best idea knowing that there's World Photonic Mazinger Z who destroyed Goragon and Mazinger Z god of mecha who basically rewrote the TTGL ending to be him humiliating Anti Spiral (from what I can remember, I'm not a sucker for that plot and i just know it because I love Mazinger)

What sort of matchup do you think would be worthy for Blackout (Transformers 2007)? I can't think of any giant super destructive robots that would be peer to him in power level. Also, Metroplex (Fall of Cybertron) vs Trypticon (War for Cybertron) We were robbed of this. Grimlock + Dinobots (Fall of Cybertron) vs Predaking + 4 Predacons (Transformers Prime) The two most legendarily brutal Transformers in recent memory face off, with their closest comrades behind them. Optimus Prime calls for help, and from across the stars, the Autobots race to Earth before it's too late. The first to arrive are Grimlock and his team, The Dinobots. Grimlock and his Dinobots are bridged into Autobot Outpost Omega-1. Then when The Predacons attack a human city, Grimlock and his team are bridged into the field to stop them. While they engage in a battle to the death, the Autobots and Deceptions are fighting elsewhere, preventing reinforcement. Getter vs. Mazinger would definitely be an interesting one, but I think to get a fair fight they would have to use either the original versions based on the original manga and anime adaptations or just go balls out with Mazinger Zero vs. Getter Emperor which are the absolute pinnacles in terms of power in both series.

A lot of people say that Monokuma vs Korosensei is a stomp in Koro’s favour, which is why so many people are against it Wrong, it’s a lot closer then people think, remember they are 10 the power of 60 monokumas (a duodecillion Monokumas) Korosensei’s moon level feat is far above what Monokuma has shown but Monokuma scales to Genocide Jill and thus Komaru who took down the Big Bangokuma, a possible town level threat. So definitely more powerful then one Monokuma but all together, Monokuma could definitely keep up Koro does hold a speed advantage being FTL but Monokuma scales to the sub relativistic Mukuro. So the speed gap isn’t as big, Koro could definitely blitz a lot of the, but due to sheer numbers, Monokuma could keep up With that said, Korosensei’s great combat intelligence and regeneration will make this hard for both sides

One way I personally think that Korosensei vs Monokuma could start revolves around one of E-Class, like Nagisa. Say Monokuma comes into Nagisa's house to take Hiromi hostage and is brainwashing Nagisa to kill her. But then Korosensei comes in and stops him, and helps Nagisa overcome the brainwashing. Then the resulting fight is between Monokuma angry at Korosensei for stopping the Despair and Korosensei angry at Monokuma for hurting his student in such a way

I'm still gonna shout it from the roofs -- you want a good Horror matchup? Chucky vs. Spike (Gremlins). You want "army vs. army"? Chucky vs. Spike. You want WILDLY DIFFERENT power-sets working against each other (magic vs. biology)? Chucky vs. Spike. Guys with the same height? CHUCKY VS. SPIKE. Also, either side has a *legit* way of winning, and would be pretty awesome to see -- Chucky somehow figuring out that Sunlight kills them, then fighting them until Dawn and then they all melt, vs. Spike (and the other Gremlins) realizing that Chucky has to actually *gather* other bodies (living, dead, Good Guy doll, whatever) and then casting the spell...so why not have some of your mutated grunts (Bat-Gremlins, guys in planes -- a callback to the original "Gremlin" lore -- or even an *Lady* Gremlin to try and seduce him) move out and start ripping some lips off. CHUCKY VS. SPIKE OR WE RIOT *riots anyways*

Hiccup vs Hiro. It should be Hiccup vs Lute (Monster Hunter) as dragons riders that ride a king of the skies with lightning vs fire. Both also have special armor and equipment made out of dragons and made to go against other dragons. They also care deeply for other dragons and their friends

Ciri absolutely obliterates Lucina. Been awhile since I’ve played Awakening, but she’s got nowhere near the speed or power Ciri puts out given her Elder Blood. While also a stomp, the matchup I most want is from one of the recent Death Battle podcast bits, Courage vs Scooby. Such a ludicrous fight and the animation potential is tremendous.

I don't think it's a good idea to put FE characters into Death Battles. Most of the characters are normal humans and the 'powerful' character's power levels aren't made very clear.

Emmet Brickowski vs Steve: Minecraft vs Lego in the battle between the two most generic characters in their franchises who love to build things. The problem I have with this match is that people of give Steve things that would obviously make the fight unfair like creative mode, respawning, or mods. So survival mode Steve vs Emmet is easily the best option. You could easily have all the creative building of Steve vs Terrarian, but with the bonus of Emmet being himself throughout the whole battle, potentially even complementing Steve's creations and traps while he's fighting. You even have them switch between Minecraft and Lego worlds or just have a stop motion fight the whole through since Lego Minecraft exist. This could be a lot of fun. Wreck-It Ralph vs Barry Steakfries: A duel of the gamebreakers where one causes destruction by accident while the other happily drags a long trail of destruction wherever he goes. Ralph's sheer power against Barry's endless arsenal could make for an interesting bout in sprite animation. Also, best match for both. K.O vs Kid Cosmic: Two children who dreamed of nothing more than becoming superheroes, only for that dream to come true and them to realize that they weren't too great it at and that the job has a lot less sunshine than it has in cartoons and comics as they master their powers. As much as it would suck to see either of them lose, these two could have an incredibly entertaining clash with all of the abilities that can be given to them, especially if Kid gets to use all of the stones (even though it was explicitly shown that's something that shouldn't be possible in the first season). There's also plenty of potential for banter with both of them trying to sound cool, but ultimately failing. Rex Salazar vs Max Steel: Two teenagers who are bonded to alien technology that allows them to both create a multitude of weapons from their bodies and control tech around them who work for an agency dedicated to stopping monsters related to their powers, suffer from amnesia, and contain a super mode specifically made by their parents for them to use that allows them to save the world in the respective finales of their series. Some prefer Blue Beetle for either of them, but both of them get stomped so hard it just wouldn't be worth doing. There's plenty of potential for interesting choreography thanks to the extensive arsenals of both combatants and the three way banter wouldn't be short of GODLIKE if written properly. Also potential for a cool death where the winner shuts off the loser's powers before going in for the final blow.
