I got that Curlsmith gel “fixer” in one of their kits because as of 4ish weeks now I’ve been rocking my wavy hair and it actually works for me. Now the 3 product kit (co wash, curl balm, and that fixer) are the only real wavy/curly products I’ve tried before so I don’t have much experience but I love all of them. The kit is the transition kit btw.

Bwahahahaha! You crack me up! That In Shower Fixer is one of my HGs! I use it like a concentrated gel with lots of water with and after I apply it. My hair is thick n coarse. Frizzy n medium porosity. Xo

The Curlsmith In Shower Style Fixer is a tricky gel. Something about it causes flash drying in my hair. I haven’t given up on getting a routine with it to work yet. Right now I have my hair in a hard cast with that gel 😆. Here’s what I used: 1. Living Proof Curl Defining Cream 2. Curlsmith In Shower Style Fixer gel (then I scrunched and I plopped) 3. Removed the plop- scrunched in Aquage Freezing Foam
@jessicasopolis39042 жыл бұрын
The In Shower Style Fixer I'd one of my HG gels in my rotation! To each, their own I reckon! I find, using it as a gel concentrate works best..diluted with a ton of water..before product application, during and even after! It helps distribute the product evenly and combats the flash drying which I'm convinced is caused by my beloved polyquaternium 69...this ingredient is also the star ingredient in my other fave gel, Jessicurl Spiralicious Gel! Same ingredient, same flash drying, same application hack with the handfuls of water n using less product than you would of lighter gels. Hope this is helpful! Xo
@Star-dj1kw2 жыл бұрын
@@jessicasopolis3904 my hair likes the Jessicurl gel. I think it’s the aloe in the In Shower Style Fixer that bothers my hair. But that’s ok bc now I have found Curlsmith’s Strong Hold Shine Gel so I have a perfect 👍🏼 gel that my finicky hair won’t reject. It’s THICK too like the Style Fixer so I do emulsify it with water 💦.

I also hated the Curlsmith style gel the first time I used it. I couldn't SOTC and it always left my hair looking oily, like from root to ends. But, one day I mixed it with another gel and it was perfect! I use my regular amount of gel and then add a pea size amount of styler fixer and mix in my palms. It just helps give hold to my other gels and I love it.

I have 2c-3a curls. I like the Curlsmith In-Shower Style Fixer BUT not in the shower. The first time I used it, I went by the directions & used it in the shower. Soaking & dripping. It gave me ok hold but not what I was expecting. I tried it again the other day & didn't use it in the shower. My hair was still pretty wet but not soaking. I did like it that way. It gave me more hold not having my hair sooo wet. Maybe try it that way? 🤔 BTW, I was watching one of your vids a few days ago. You were happy that Donnie Trump was voted out of office. Love the video, you always make me smile even when I'm having a terrible day 💕 That the Curlsmith gel is super hit or miss! I hated it the first time I tried it (and I followed the instructions EXACTLY on my 2C waves)!! The second time I tried it I ignored the directions and applied it the way I usually use gel (soaking wet in the shower - but a palmful per section of hair over my curl cream) and my waves lasted for FIVE DAYS. I've never had successful third day hair and I managed to get day 5 hair 😱 if it didn't have glycerin in it I would never stop using that gel for the rest of eternity. Sharing in case anyone else does a soaking wet application like I do and is curious! 😊

Do you recommend the purple Pureology Moisture shampoo / conditioner for wavy hair?
@jthornburg61022 жыл бұрын
I love the pureology moisture line in the winter when I’m really dry, but my thick, fine curls really like the pureology clean volume line (that I think they’ve since re-released with a new scent under the name pure volume). I tend to keep both on hand and use whichever one I think I need on that particular wash day, although I tend to use the volume one more in the summer.

Curlsmith is really awesome, plz give them another try, that's just their worst product. Try the Hold Me Softly Style Balm for curl definition cream, Weightless Air Dry Cream for leave in condition, hydro style flexi gel for more hold (I don't usually need it tho), co wash & other shampoos all great and so are the deep conditioners. The bond repair salve is the best thing on the planet, it completely saved my hair (which needed protein) if I leave it in for an hour it gives far more visible results than Olaplex or Briogeo. Every item is nothing but all natural ingredients that are truly healthy for your hair. But some of their products are for thicker, tighter curls, they have stuff for the full range of 2's and 3's, u just have to know which is which. Everything I said works great on my ultra fine, fluffy, frizzy, porous,, 2b, 2c with a little 2a and 3a hair and makes it super soft & shiny, perfectly defined, weightless, frizz- free, lasts for days waves & ringlets. Also, a lot of their products are available in travel size now so u can try them out before you invest the full cost of a regular size. Those products saved my hair and completely changed my game so I have to talk them up. 💛
