yay, it's a real shame you weren't able to watch the live performance, because this was even better live. Nemo actually sings all the opera parts of the song themself. The song is about Nemo coming to grips with being non binary, aka that they are neither male nor female.

Eurovision apparently released a clip with the last 10 winners for the whole world. The first one is Nemo, then Loreen etc.

Yes, Nemo win. :) And Nemo came out as non-binary. This might explain what the song and music video are about.

They won. Nemo is non-binary and the song is about figuring this out, not being part of the binary code 1 and 0. The code. But also its a song finging yourself if u not fit into to regular boxes of socity. you went to hell and back to foind your place, your corner in this crazy world.

I don't watch the Eurovision Song Contest anymore. It's all too political for me and most of the songs are in English. In the past, most of the songs were sung in the national language.

I like the political part. Eurovision has been political from its beginning. It has been founded for political reasons: After WWII, Europe should be united by knowing each others culture, and Eurovision is one of the institutions that was very successful in doing it. Some others were InterRail, the Common European Fremework of Reference for languages (A1-C2) or the European Capital of Culture. Music, like every part of culture, is political. An event where people from different regions participate is political. An event with media is always political. It was in the 80ies when Nicole sang "Ein bisschen Frieden" and when Toto Cotungno sang "Insieme" in 1990. When Israel was allowed to sing, when the Eastern European countries joined. It was also a place for debates about society. When those two girls from Abba showed up in those glittery outfits, instead of proper skirts and blouses. What a horrible example for young girls!😂 And then gays (in the 1970ies), people of color (should they really represent an European country???)... and those modern music styles like pop (horrible, it's not real music). A society dies from the inside if it doesn't change.
