Stromae (Maestro) is only his stage name, Jean-Paul van Haver is his real name. His brother does some of his videos, you can see the van Haver name with another first name.

The best and worst thing about Stormae's work is that the musical layer is so different from the textual layer. His pieces are very often difficult lyrically, but musically they are fun, joyful, even a hit in the layer. A true artist who is responsible for a very large part of his work (lyrics,music,videos)

This song is beautiful but the video is from another world and very well illustrated. It was choreographed under the guidance of Marion Motin (already in demand for the clips for "Tous les Mêmes" and "Papaoutai"). Cancer is unfortunately the disease of the century and everyone can be the target.

Unfortunately bad guy throat cancer and his friend leukemia took 2 of my friends, so this song has special significance to me. It is a true masterpiece even if I cry everytime I listen to it. Actually I work in the medical field and we know a lot about cancer. There is not ONE cancer, but many types of cancer. Nowadays we know how to cure some forms of cancer and science and medecine are evolving and finding solutions as we speak.

"Quand c'est" ? is prononced like "cance(r)". For english speaking : we don't pronounce all the letters in french. That's why "quand c'est" = can ce phonetically. He says "quand c'est" (when will it happen) but when he sings, with the vocal at the back saying "cancer", it sound like the same. Very powerful song.

Stromae means Maestro, the word is backwards. Stromae is not French, he is Belgian, like Jacques Brel. I strongly advise you to react to the song “All the same” by Stromae. Especially if you like his lyrics and his way of dancing. Thanks for all these videos! I really like your personality!

Actually, there are many types of cancer and this one is not an entity. It is just a disease. We know how to cure some of them now. And the cost for patients depends on the country, the health care system. But I really like the artistery behind this song.

Bonjour. Il y a une sorte d'argot appelé verlant qui consiste à inverser les syllabes des mots. Ainsi, une pute devient une tepu. Ainsi, cancer en verlant peut ressembler à cecant ou ''c'est quand''. Le titre de la chanson est une sorte de verlant signifiant cancer. Cordialement.
