Thanks for coming back to Nemophila. And introducing the daughters to them. All 3 daughters, must be a special occasion LOL. These ladies are awesome live. If you watch the music video for this song, you'll see lead singer Mayu, wearing loose fitting clothing because she was pregnant. Besides their , now 3 albums , of originals, Nemophila have done a lot of covers, mostly during lockdown. This video isn't the only one they dresses up for. Their cover of Detroit Rock City has them in full KISS makeup. Your 1 daughter said she loves a good female harsh vocalist, show her more of Nemophila's originals. And also, if she hasn't seen it, a band called Jinjer, recommend the live session for the song "Pisces". She'll love Tatiana.

@@DadDaughtersandDrinks Mayu was pregnant when the music video came out , summer of '22. Had the baby in the fall. Drummer Tamu Murata has 2 kids.

They were the first of three awesome concerts my wife and I saw with some friends during our recent trip to Japan. We saw them at the legendary Budokan, and Nemo's sound and collective energy was awesome.

Saki: born Oct 4th, 1990. Tamu: born Sep 25th, 1992. Hazuki: born Aug 16th, 1995. Haraguchi-san: born Apr 19th, 1997. Mayu: born Nov 10th, 1997. So two members in their early thirties, and the rest in their mid to late twenties. All of the members look great, so it's not surprising to think that they've younger than they are.

The crowd shot is so bizarre. With a couple of exceptions, it's all guys in their 50s and 60s. I was stunned. Not anyone within 20 years of the ladies ages. I did not see one female. Wow! I was really surprised.

TBH, most metal gigs have a bunch of old geezers. This perhaps a bit more than usual. Part of it might be that older guys have had more time to get bored with the usual, cliched, macho metal drivel we get served too often in the west.

The same happens in Japan. Nemophila fans are mostly middle-aged dudes. Hanabie fans, on the other hand, are as young as Hanabie, again, both in Japan and in the US.
