Seikima II (2) started as an occult-themed glam/thrash band in 1982. They were plagued with numerous lineup changes, including the founder--the legendary Damian Hamada, leaving the band only a few years later. By 1987 they significantly changed their sound to hard rock. Despite all this, they had a devout following and were very influential for a new generation of young musicians at the time. Decades later, Saki (NEMOPHILA, Mary's Blood) was graduating high school and her dad took her to her first metal show to celebrate. The band was Seikima II and that night changed her life. Being at that show made her want to learn to play guitar and make that kind of music.

*Curse Sha-na-na-na backstory:* The band is Seikima-II (Seikima-2). They took the Kiss face paint style & made theirs more into a horror theme. This band inspired a young Nemophila's guitarist (Saki who is on the right side if Mayu) to learn to play guitar in the heavy metal genre. Seikima-II opened for Nemophila earlier this year during Nemophila's Zepp Venues tour in Japan. Well, let's say the lead singer Seikima with the backing of Nemophila opened the show. There's no video of that show since cameras are not allowed to record concerts in Japan. Unless the band records them. Makeup: If you get around to watching Nemophila's cover of *Detroit Rock City* by Kiss. The band donned the makeup of Kiss. Tamu is so cute with her smile. Since there's four in Kiss & five in Nemophila. Saki *"Kissified"* her face makeup she has on here when they did *Detroit Rock City.*

I was at the show, it was only Seikima's vocalist Demon Kakka. In the Japanese music industry, a senior figure would never be described as "opening" for a junior act. He was a co-headliner, backed by Nemophila themselves (and a keyboardist who has often supported Seikima), Nemo then did their own set, then he was back with Nemo for the finale.

I won't go into the back story as so many people have already done so, probably better than I could.. Like I have said so many times before, never in my 61 years have I seen a band like this. Just 5 best friends rocking out and having fun. And most importantly Killing everything they touch. there is litterally nothing these Ladies can't do, extremely well.. You have so many more covers to see, looking forward to all of them as I'm sure you are.. Really enjoying your chanel.; It is good to see a reactor here for the music and not the clicks.. Here is a little background, or knowledge that I haven’t been corrected on yet. The guitarist for Siekima II is a favorite of Saki. The song was used, perhaps written for the horror movie, “The Grudge” as released in the US. The rerelease and sequel were under another name. Not to spoil the movie, but in short a person is killed in a house and their evil spirit seeks revenge, or holds a Grudge against what happened. The spirit frequently appears making the, “clicking” sound that Mayu started the video with. Aside from the movie, this is a great song and video. Nemophila always slays every cover.

Others have already explained about Seikima II, their makeup etc. Seikima II is SAKI's favourite band. The guitar she plays in this video is a Luke Takamura signature "Grave Stone". It's the same Killer brand as her usual Empress 7-string. SAKI once joked (on Twitter, I believe) that Luke was her father and that Sun-Go (guitarist from Show-Ya) was her mother. Obviously, they aren't but it shows how much those two players inspired her.
