SInce this came out, they appeared at Whisky-a-Go-Go in Los Angeles and the Aftershock festival in Sacramento. They are doing a US tour in March. And in the meantime Mayu will have a baby. (She was visibly pregnant at Aftershock). This project started out as a jam session for Mayu, but they liked the chemistry so much they formed a band. Mayu doesn't speak English, only Saki is reasonably fluent, but she is learning.

The guitarist Saki is from Mary's Blood and Destrose (the band where Haruna and Miho from Lovebites came from).

Yes there gaining a very large following around the world , this Song will be on the album out in December Mayu normally sings in Japanese this is rare for one of there originals to be in English they also did a English version of Dissension (you did that one in the Japanese version ) that's on the Oiran extended Edition CD put out through JPU records UK earlier this year . The new album is also called Revive .

They did all come from other bands, however Saki and Tamu and maybe Hazuki are the only ones still involved in those other things outside of this group at this time. Saki is still in Mary's Blood full time and they just realeased a new album. Revive will be on the upcoming first full album. Half the songs are new and the others are remasters of their previously released songs.

I think this is both simple and in English to help publicize and sell their upcoming album, from which this will be the title track. As mentioned below they actually have a quite diverse catalogue, some of which is very technical and less “obvious”. I like Revive, it’s catchy, but I like Monsters and Oiran more… Did you guys ever check out Hanabie, I forget. lol

All the members were in different bands before, only Saki was really the big name Mary's Blood/Destrose, so I would not say it's a supergroup. The drummer Tamu used to be in Soramimi and did session stuff. The bassist Haraguchi-san was in Hölderlins and also did session stuff. On vocals Mayu was in Lipstick under the name Cindy, saw her singing at Metal Matsuri with them, which must have been one of the last shows she did with them. Other guitar Hazuki was in Disqualia, she also played with Rami (ex Aldious). While Disquila are technically still active, there are only 2 members, she also plays in Lisa X's band. So, you have heard two more or less straightforward metal songs from them, but that's a bit misleading since they cover more sub-genres of rock. For example "FIGHTER" is more of a hard rock song, "MONSTERS" has some electronic parts and "Life" is a power ballad. Not even speaking of their covers. And their next single "HYPNOSIS" is influenced by eastern culture (perhaps indian) - it will be released on 17th November

I'm with you for singing in Japanese. Mayu's voice is so expressive and she emotes better in her native tongue. I might not know what she means when she sings in Japanese, but I definitely know how she feels. They've got a new track coming out next week called 'Hypnosis' that's absolutely fantastic. They played it at their last live stream and it's gonna be one of their best. Middle Eastern theme, like Zep's Kashmir.

I hate Lovebites cause their singer sucks singing in English. If they sung in Japanese, it would be listenable

I don't agree (in this case, that is...in general, I also prefer Japanese bands sing in Japanese). Mayu's English pronunciation has improved, and I think more importantly from an artistic standpoint, her _understanding_ of these lyrics was solid. The message and emotion of the lyrics came through SO vividly, and I think that's more than just her off-the-charts charisma as a front person.

They will probably put out more Japanese English material if only to appeal more to their Western audience that they have accumulated over the past several months while I appreciate the English lyrics I still prefer Japanese more myself

I couldn't really care about what language the vocals are in, generally see them as another instrument, but the English didn't necessarily seem out of place for me. Decent earworm of a song, the riffs and the screaming will stick in my head for sure, think between this and the other one of theirs you did I'm sold

Superband - it's not superband, it's the cliche spread around internet taken from some "encyclopedia" of bands. For me superband is like, for example, Slash, Tom Araya and Phil Rudd make a band. Saki and Tamu Murata were stars before Nemophila, three others supertalented youngsters. Hazuki played with stars in Disqualia. Cover of Revive is of course avaliable.
