Hello! Nenana has to be a rough place to live, not much there and expensive. Healy is probably not much better though, ha. I was so excited about the tripod that I hit the windshield wiper switch and forgot how to turn it off, LOL! It is completely on it's side now, I was trying to find older videos, it was either last year or the year before it did the same thing, it fell on it's side before going downriver, it took a while.

It hasn't been all too warm, I am so surprised the snow is melting so quickly. It's still in the 30's at night, but we have had no clouds for the most part, the sun is fierce. What luck was that? That tripod moved when I wasn't looking, I Saw it when I pulled up and Mary gasped and it was tipped over when I looked again! I really am not looking forward to mosquito season 😭

Our pleasure! Thank You 🥰 Alaska was primarily indigenous people until 1896 when the Gold Rush Stampede happened, so it really is in it's infancy and only became a state in 1959, so any history here is very interesting. Hi Bears. Well, great minds think alike Sherry ... I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches. When I told Hubby that you posted, he said he was hoping for some driving today! Great video. Sure hope the coming week goes better. Hope Heather had a good time in Anchorage. Glad she is enjoying her new job. If Mary ever decides to switch careers, she would make an excellent vet as she is so sweet and gentle with all the critters. I have heard of Arbonne, not sure what it is but I will look it up online. Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🥰🐾🐶🥰🐾🐶

I have been eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches for years, I have been asked to buy bananas quite a bit lately but they just don't eat them fast enough, so I get sandwiches, LOL. I actually remembered the antishake for the driving this time, YAY! Heather is loving every minute of Anchorage and taking lots of video for me, haha. Heather thought she would be a good vet and did a job shadow, both girls have too much empathy 🐈🐾🐾🐩🐕🦜 www.arbonne.com/personal-shopper/SherryHiltonScheffler not quite sure what this link does yet, lol. The lakes around here are so low, I’m happy we got a lot of snow, and it’s been raining the last few day, I feel bad for the farmers instead of fields they have lakes..Kip looked so cute dressed up in the bunny costume, Christmas story😂🤣.. Now that Heather is working at the tea place would she ever consider making boba tea with the black pearl tapioca, and show us how to make the tapioca, I love that tea😁..idid you get to hear the horn, that was so awesome that you got to see it tip, just think if you were 2 minutes late, so glad that you were able to see it fall. You mentioned Beaan, Kip, Leigh were outside when the snow came off the roof of the garage, is Leigh a new dog that you got😁. Sherry what foundation do you wear, I thought you mentioned it once before, but it’s so pretty on you, and the shade you wear, you look light complexion like I am, I burn and never tan🤣.Have a wonderful Monday 🧡🧡🧡

Oh my gosh I had quite the long reply and it's gone 😱 oh well, try again... our standing water is moving fast for the most part, we just need to ground to thaw, it's still very frozen. I have never seen Christmas Story, LOL. Heather made us boba at home, it was very good, she made it with sugar though, I need to get her to make it with honey instead. The Tripod is now all the way on it's side but it actually loosened the line the direction that it fell, so it is going to take some significant ice movement for it to pull the line now, I have never heard the horn before. It's so exciting though. Leif is a friend, he was the one that brought me to Alaska, sadly the relationship did not work. Right now I am wearing any foundation I can grab, usually physician's formula, but my favorite and Mary's is the R&F foundation, but you have to find a rep. Hope you are having an amazing week!🥰💖

It seems that There is just as many types of Broths now as there are flavors of Coffee. We are from the 'old world' Sherri. An old habit is that I still save quarters to carry on me in case I need to use for parking and a Pay Phone! How silly is that?! In a past video, you mentioned that the 'city' doesn't want you to feed the birds anymore as 'they' want them to migrate south. People used to line up to bring all kinds of bread they made by hand and other grains they made. Its all still there in Nenana! The rusted out peeling Building; the Railroad car that is in pieces! The buildings were there but the Signs were not! I wonder how much the 'processing fees' are for the ATM's there? Back in the day, there never had one huge pile; they had several small piles of snow thru out the city Mary for fear of the melt off of the snow. Thanks for the view of the RailRoad yard where the load and unload freight.
@AlaskanBearsVlogs
@AlaskanBearsVlogs 2 жыл бұрын
Apparently the broth is "Umami", it's a particular asian taste, sounds like the taste may be from MSG!!! so I will be using chicken broth, it says you can substitute chicken broth. I am with you, I always carry change, LOL and dollar bills. We used to feed the birds loaves of bread, it was our favorite thing to do when the kids were little, the birds were starting to get sick, that tells you something about out wheat here in the U.S., they actually have places you can get free feed for the ducks if you still want to feed them in the winter, but they restrict the fall feeding, sign are up all over to not feed them during Fall migration. Yeah Nenana hasn't changed at all, LOL, they do bring tour busses in now so that helps the city 💖 The last few times I had to use ATM's the fees were $3, seems to be the same everywhere. For the most part I can find one that is connected to my bank so I don't have to pay fees. That rail yard is one of the busiest places in town and the biggest!
@Dbusdriver71
@Dbusdriver71 2 жыл бұрын
@@AlaskanBearsVlogs The railroad yard was always the busiest places in Alaska; even back in the day. The brought a lot of 'stuff' for the Army and Air Force by railroad car. I do my sleep study next week. Pray for me that this adjustment works. This is the last 'hurdle' before I have a pre-surgery consulation and then I 'sit down' with the Surgeon to set a date.

I would have visited Fairbanks this summer had this opportunity not come up. My Dr. recommended it to me. My BMI index is 37 and I barely qualified for it. I think I would look and do better IF I were weighing under 200 lbs instead of 251. But your videos really bring Fairbanks and North Pole alive to me again. I'm going to work June unless I get a date for the surgery that conflicts with this. Have a very nice rest of Sunday!

Oh I used to love the Arbonne face products!! The vitamin c line I believe it was. Last time I checked, which was yrs ago, I think it had changed. But I honestly am not sure. Lol, poor Kip!😂🐰 Wow, I guess that is what happens when that much snow melts! Whoa, all the birds! Be careful of the avian flu, lol, I probably shouldn't joke about that. Arbonne still has the vitamin C line they amped it up, it's called DermResults now. It used to be called Nutramin C, or Serum C. That's what got me started over 20 years ago. All of that melting snow has made lakes everywhere, the ducks and geese are loving it, I am horrified what mosquito season will look like. 😱😨😭 For now we are enjoying getting out and and about! That was a nice trip to a small Alaskan town. They seem so distant from areas you would find like a Walmart or doctors office. What is the history of the tripod? Do you get any serious flooding from the ice melting in the rivers? We did in NY every spring. Okay, now the question, what is Arbonne? Like Jenny Craig? Slim fast? Since I can’t move around well and boy do I love my food, I need to do something. The love handles need to shrink!🤣

I talked to someone that was here in the 70's and they said that Nenana hasn't changed at all, it's interesting how the villages stay the same. Most of those towns an hour or 2 away come to Fairbanks for their supplies. Our 2 Fred Meyer stores are always competing for number 1 spot of all the Fred Meyer companies. I explained some of the history of the tripod at the end of the video. I really wish I could have gotten downtown last night the ice broke loose and flowed downriver, it's always a sight to see. Arbonne started as a natural makeup company in 1980 then because they do everything ethical and natural grew into a big whole body wellness company. They don't do foods, just supplements. It takes a bit but after a week or two of doing the protein powders and supplements, I lose my appetite. SherryHiltonScheffler.arbonne.com
