This was the guitar I bought too as my first guitar and I’m really happy with it. I’m thinking of changing out the strings to make it a little less brassy sounding, but after playing it for a little while, it has been sounding better.

@@NenaShelby It would be so nice if you made tutorials of some of John Mayer’s songs as well (well, how ironic it may be😅) if you like, cause I remember you said that you like his music in one of your videos. Although it wouldn’t be beginner tutorials only anymore, you’d share your tips/experience of learning with us 🤍 love u and your channel so much, I’d been missing something in that KZbin guitar community until I found you (especially because of the lack of Taylor Swift tutorials and swifties vibes)

The Allen key can be used to adjust the truss rod/set up if the guitar intonation is out of whack. Capos are great for beginners, but they’re also great for more advanced players as well. If you’re recording a doubled guitar part for a track, you can record one of the tracks without the capo and the second with, so that it has the same chords with different fingerings for a slightly different sound, and both tracks played back together should sound fuller.

This was an awesome review! And if you're wondering why the strings are loose when travelling it's because of the tension of the strings, if the neck gets hit while it's fully tuned up there's a huge change it'll get damaged because of the tension :) great video!! ❤️

If you put the capo at the third fret, and then see the rest of the guitar is in tune down the fret board , then the acoustic guitar is set correct with bridge height and nut height etc.

I have decided to learn how to play guitar for a couple of months. I watched some reviews of a channel in my country and went to buy one for myself. Firstly you have to know how much the guitar you want to buy costs (I mean your budget lol). Secondly you should visit some highly recommended stores to make sure that your guitar is in good condition at least. I highly recommend you go to the store instead of buying online because you can really see the guitar, touch it and even watch it played. I think you don’t have to be so considered because of course there are so many guitars there which will make you overwhelmed like I was when I was going to buy my guitar. Just listen to your heart and choose the one you feel that it is for you. Then after you have played for quite a long enough time, you will know exactly which guitar you want. But now, just choose the one that meets all your needs. My very first guitar is not a very expensive one. It is a domestic product. It costs around 65 dollars, including the guitar, capo, the “protecting sticker” and some picks. I prefer shiny guitar to the one Nena reviewed for us because it is just my preference lol. But I think all accessories are important. Thank you Nena for reviewing this. I like when you showed your skill with the guitar. And I think the demo song was “Fifteen”, my fav when I was fifteen lol

I used to be intermediate but I'm starting back up as a beginner again. I had started really learning about those music theory basics like the hammer-ons and I was doing pretty well with finger picking too. I heard you play Safe and Sound and All Too Well in your other video!! I learned them too and it's so awesome to see you playing and remembering that feeling playing guitar gives me. My guitar needs new strings Sooo bad they are brassy and can't keep time basically like the one reviewed. But mine is bad because I didn't take care of it 😞 I had a similar looking beginner guitar 🥲 something made me disheartened for several years but I feel it's always been a little hole in me that just needs to have guitar there. I'm so freaking happy I found your channel today. I actually got here for your That's So True tutorial. It's fantastic. Made muscle memory kick in as you explained it and I also love my capo SO much so it's just nice to see someone bright and hopeful about starting on this amazing instrument. I feel a lot of people are jaded. You remind me of the light I had before so I'm gonna find it in myself again! ✨ went to see how much I remember now and, yeah I definitely need to brush up and then figure out where my journey picks up again

Be sure and check the bridge on any Donner guitar. I bought one of the sunburst grand auditorium one's with the solid top and out of the box, the bridge is lifting up. All along the front of the bridge and on both sides, I can slip a sheet of typing paper under the bridge about 3/8" which means that the bridge is only 2/3's glued on. Also the guitar is bookmatched the wrong way, that is instead of narrow grain in the center on both sides of the joint, one side has wide grain in the center tapering to narrower grain on the side and the other piece has narrow grain in the center(which is the way it should be) going to wider grain at the end. It is REVERSE matched instead of bookmatched. Also there is a very easy to see edge of a knot on one side where there is a nickle sized spot of very wavy grain. The two pieces of wood of the top are from different blanks and even if they were bookmatched, they would still not be suitable for any guitar. It is not even a B grade top and the ad said it was a AAAA grade top(which I assume is Donner's abbreviation for Master grade. Epic fail there. All the fret ends have sprout and are sharp with no rounding at all, The low E string buzzes even with the high action that came on the guitar so I haven't bothered to adjust the truss rod to lower the high action as it would just make that worse. And finally, the low E tuner does not hold tune for more than a few hours. Left tuned overnight, it goes flat about 10% and I tried it over 5 days to see if the neck would adjust and strings would settle in but it is the same so I have given up on that.

Ebay tends to be much better than Amazon for guitars - better selection - better prices. My Aklot, Kandance, Kmise, Sonart, and Lagrima guitars all cost less. The Kadance is from Amazon, all the rest are Ebay. The Aklot and Kadance were not as nice as pictured online. The Kadance bridge was too high and had bad electronics. All sound decent. The Kmise is a very nice mahogany acoustic, and the Lagrima is a very nice classical - complete with nylon strings.
