Awesome review my friend! I'm excited to get mine. There is of course pros and cons but I like the way it looks and love neo geo. Im happy to have some sports titles on one of my cabs. I hope to had windjammers, king of monters, and baseball allstars 2 down the road

@@cooltoy king of the Monsters yes, Windjammers no. King of the Monsters was produced and owned by SNK. Windjammers is owned by Data East. At present companies involved in the development of these machines can only use SNK produced/owned games and none (at the moment) from third party developers. Sorry.

You're going to have a long wait for Windjammers I'm afraid Complete Geek TV. All these SNK new consoles and the company/companies involved in their development can't use third party games. Windjammers is owned by Data East and not SNK, sorry.

Baseball stars 2, Metal slug and samurai showdown were the games of my childhood. My local pizza shop had that neo geo cabinet for years! The amount of quarters I spent on that machine is insane. Some of the best memories! I will be getting this at some point, with the hope of them adding more in the future! Great job on review as always cool toy!

CoolToy, So many good reviews for the MVSX and yours cinches it for me and I'll now for sure be getting one! I agree, there are A LOT of fighting games on this cab, and I would've liked to see a more diverse lineup of Neo Geo games and genres, but I think no matter what list Unico came up with, I think someone would've been disappointed that a game they loved was missing. There are just too many great games on the system that any list wouldn't have been able to satisfy everyone universally. I'm just incredibly impressed they were able to give us just over a third of the total Neo Geo arcade game library on one machine. Having said that, I now really want to see Arcade1up up it's game and offer cabs with more robust game libraries. I'm not asking for hundreds of games on one cabinet, not even 50 games, but 10 (at minimum) to 30 games would be a good range. I don't know if I sent you a link to a cabinet called Pac-Man Pixel Bash, but it's a machine by Namco with 32 games built in. I would love to see version of this, but in an affordable $399-$499 Arcade1up form factor. I was thinking Arcade1up could make a bunch of Namco art style cabinet variants (Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Galaxian, Dig Dug, Xevious, Mappy, etc.) and just put the 32 game Pixel Bash library on them. That way, people could get their favorite Namco cabinet art style, get the same great library of games, all while saving space for those who don't have as much. I thought I'd share with you my perfect Neo Geo 50 games list. I suggested to Unico that they create some sort of online service or store where people can get more games for their MVSX cabinet. I let them know I'd be willing to even purchase additional games, whether individually or in new collection packs (which is their current format). I let them know a lot of us collectors of the miniature arcade machines are running out of space and a service like this would make their cabinet more valuable. @@slangyung The only Neo Geo crossover game featuring Capcom characters would be SVC Chaos: SNK Vs Capcom. Though likely that will not be included on any future system, unless SNK get the rights from Capcom to use their characters again. The Capcom made games (the Capcom Vs SNK titles) were released for other arcade hardware and were not Neo Geo games. The likelihood of those being included is slim, since they were never made for the Neo Geo despite having SNK characters in it, plus the same conundrum with asking permission from Capcom to include 'their' games. Still, who knows what will happen in the future? They could wind up asking permission from Capcom, at the same time as other third parties to include other Neo Geo games to existing or future products of theirs.

My one nitpick is the control panel is not deep enough from front edge to controls/buttons. You can't even rest your wrist on it while playing. Slightly deeper controls deck would have been much better imo.

I was actually impressed they thought to roll the edge of the control panel so it doesn't dig into your wrists while playing. One of the only things I liked about the front panel on this machine. More depth would have been nice, I do agree.

The thing looks great. My only gripe is a few glaring missing games, like Neo Turf Masters. Hard to accept that we get anotehr golf game. There's a lot to like about this, though.

It mostly has complete collections of the series it covers, minus art of Fighting, as it omits Art of Fighting 2 for some reason. At present none of these new machines have used added Neo Turf Masters (though SNK DOES own it, as they brought out Metal Slug creators Nasca who also made Neo Turf Masters), I guess that would be changed over time, but who knows? But yeah I'm sure lots of people wouldn't have minded having Neo Turf Masters included, instead of Top Player's Golf.

@@David315842 thanks for the insight. It's my opinion that neo turf masters is so good and such an impressive game, that it seems silly not to include it considering the ownership is in line. The game is a total masterpiece. they did a great job on what they did offer. I'm not broken up about not having art of fighting on it. But that's one of McLaren gaps in my opinion.

Bit of advice. The person you are referring to doesn't like anything. Its his schtick. The only value his videos have is with the sound off. I personally know 3 of the reviewers that have had this unit already and not one of them had a seizure over the buttons.

The 3rd Floor Arcade with Jason the buttons on the mvsx are generic buttons in line with what you’ll find on things like the Arcade1Up cabinets. They aren’t terrible, but they aren’t great either, more middle of the road. I’ll replace mine on the unit I bought with Happ competition buttons out of personal preference, but the vast majority of people won’t have any issue with the stock buttons for regular gameplay.

Samurai Showdown 2 is the best Neo-Geo game ever. I had the Neo Geo gold system with all 6 Samurai games and was stupid and sold it now the games are worth 5 times what i sold them for.
