@@neo4j I have been using the free version using GraphXR.... I went to do an Update save and it just hung and then said 'Update failed' ... this went on , with me trying various ideas , like clearing the Firefox cache, and switching the VPN off and on again. Anyway ... i just resigned to losing some more recent added bits. I tried to just Log out... meaning to just Log in again... but that is all going weird... it wouldnt smoothly Log out. Now the whole reload process is not working. It just hangs and then ... stays not opened up. I mean the basic Login page wont open up. It is just a Firefox Problem Loading Page. As you can imagine I have a lot of work hours put into a piece on/ in there... so I am unhappy - i cant also find a helpline chat. It is early days with the app...

Hi Karin; nice to see you here. Great explanation. It seems that you are trying to say somethng that I "feel"... A set of aparently independent graphic sets, each one describing an independent scenario can drive us to discover hidden connections (not explicitely defined in the models) between nodes on those sets. IE. Suppose you have three graphs sets: 1) representing a school; 2) other representing a family; 3) a 3rd graph representing a hospital. You can have explicit relations of: 1) pupil/teacher; 2) son (one of the school pupils)/father; 3) doctor/patient. But inthe family graph the pupis father has two properties to inform profession = doctor & workplace = (that) hospital. In this case we have a hidden relation bettween the school - hospital graph sets using the relationS IS_PUPIL|IS_TEACHER and IS_PATIENT|IS_DOCTOR by means of RELATION IS_SON|IS_FATHER the son-patient by means of the father/doctor name. I will be more clear using the "arrows" tool (i´ve discovered it just three hours ago). See you in the community group. Thak you for your attention.

Hi Karin, ca I assume that for each Node, Neo4j stroes all incoming and outgoing connections? or only the outgoing ones?

I believe graph databases can possibly become the standard relational database in software development. I think SQL is still the standard because big companies are already heavily invested into SQL & it's not easy to convert a SQL database with millions of users to a graph or nosql aka not sql database of any kind.
@neo4j Жыл бұрын
converting existing working systems is always hard, but new implementations will most likely be more open and not based on SQL all the time. We think Graphs are one of those technologies that can help companies move forward with complex applications fit for the future
@LoneLeagle Жыл бұрын
@@neo4j I'm gonna make the right choice of building my big apps with neo4j from the start, so I don't have to struggle with trying to convert after graphs become the standard. I want to specialize in social medias, Ecommerce and multi-level affiliate programs, so I need something like neo4j that can allow me to build super complex relationships in a simple way. I also think people overlook how important it is for other teams of companies outside the software development department to understand the database.
