My outdoor tub hit 50 degrees this fall. The next day I harvested over 100 Blue Dream Shrimp. Those guys are super hardy! I would not do that again if I could avoid it however, I was clearly pushing my luck but shows that the lower end of temperature is lower than we think. Guppy Joe

TDS has so many variables if you get the meter after setting up your tank, my TDS in my successful tank is like 800 but I dose a shrimp mineral supplement and top off with tap water, I also haven’t done any water changes and all of my shrimp and fish are healthy, I don’t even worry about TDS to me it’s kind of useless UNLESS you start with RO water and get that 0-10 baseline instead of tap water which could be 150 one second then 500 the next

Agree, 10 Gh with 5 Kh has a considerably higher TDS than 150 ppm for sure.
