Even for a Japanese Eva otaku, it's crazy fun! The voice of the woman who plays Asuka is rather close to the original, which made me laugh. Fun fact: there is a Disney DVD with Neon Genesis Evangelion footage on it! Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind when Disney was releasing Ghibli movies had a behind-the-scenes bonus feature that talked about the making-of, including the God Soldier scene, and discussed how that scene was animated at the time by future anime legend Hedeaki Anno; and then they played Neon Genesis Evangelion footage while discussing Anno, on a Disney DVD!!!! That thought blew my mind, that Disney in the early 2000’s had to license Evangelion footage to release on DVD!
