She didn't steal the beat, he sent her the beat on a sample cd - he wanted to do a mashup, she wrote and recorded the vocals and sent it back to him, he didn't like it because he thought it was too pop, she was upset because she is a pop artist and she did respect him a lot, then the track was leaked from an unknown source, it was a misunderstanding that resulted in an awesome song if you love neon hitch or mau5, just be happy it leaked if you like and if you don't move on the the next song!

that's not true. he got his mgmt to send demos out to lots of artists looking to collaborate. he never heard the song until after she released it.

If you read his new note on Facebook, he did not want this out and he had no idea it was even made, hes so angry. The song is actually called See you next tuesday.

@freakfruit57 "idk what the problem is" The problem is that this track is unauthorized and sucks horribly. No permission was given to make this track using the demo sent out. I suppose it's good if you like cheesy pop vocals though.

@POPLiveUSA I appears you did not read what RetiefGoosen said. This was an internal demo that was just an instrumental he had nothing to do with the vocals or the release of this track. It was never supposed to be released. Deadmau5 did also not name the track I can't Behave Myself as RetiefGoosen said. If it is a mash-up it should be named accordingly.

@diabolik29a I believe Joel was more annoyed that so called Neon Hitch apparently gave no credit to him for the song. And fyi, artists are making more money through gigs and such than through iTunes, beatport etc. When people want to support an artist, they should go see them live.

the original track by deadmau5 was new and cool. i liked it. then neon hitch took it without asking and added vocals that sound like ke$ha, with lyrics that are of +2 years older creativity (17). at least if youre going to mash something up without asking, make it sound good. *goes to mashup everafter (grouch/eligh) with faxing berlin*

It wasn't "officially" released, yet, so technically, no. If Joel had officially released it, then it would've been protected by copyright. The track was leaked, though, so it wasn't official.

Yeah, it's definitely vocal heavy. She made it sound like his collaboration was just to add background to her vocals, which is not what deadmau5 fans want.
