Its a bit difficult to choose exactly way you want on joystick and you need to get used to it at consoles so thats maybe why, it should be easier for new players or not very clever olayers😂 At first we all had some problems dto handle it correctly but when you learn i dont know how 4 ways system would be😅

directional swinging barely even mattered lets be honest, except for feints, which the AI tend to ignore. i enjoy this games combat but holy shit its so fundamentally broken. devs need to take a few more cues from mordhau, sekiro, chivalry. those games deliver actual depth rather than the illusion of it. even mount and blade has more consistent combat than this game. we should be able to attack from any direction but im hoping a choice like that is for the good of the overall combat system, which in the first game only exists as a shadow of what it could be.

@@vain.a2 yeah realistically it was more of a choice between 2, maybe 3 directions depending on the situation, and often times it didn't matter at all which direction you swing from. especially since the only time it matters which direction you hit from is also the only time you're forced to use only one direction, and it's in the only boss fight in the entire game, where runt has massive armor stats but no helmet at all (unless you play in hardcore). also the system of combos being tied to direction took all the depth out of directional combat anyway, since you were just doing stuff in the same sequence. i honestly still like the combat in KCD1, at least when it's a one-on-one since group fights are a huge mess in that game, but I don't think I'll miss the extra swing direction. especially since slashing gets a lot more love in that system than stabbing, but you wouldn't be slashing at a fully armored knight anyway, you'd be trying to poke at him to get your sword into a gap, which is why swords fell out of favor anyway.

Just one comment about Henry's Skill reset. It may not be a FULL reset, but quite a deep debuff. So he will probably be ambushed, and gravely wounded and that will be a skill reset. Quite hard to fight if you suffer some deep wounds. All I want is a competent Henry from the start. So you don't have to spend 20 hours learning swordplay, reading, stealing, sweetalking, or anything like that. Just give us a Competent Henry goddammit!!!!!!

I'm imagining the two kinds of crossbows they are referring to are simple pull-back models, in which you can pull the bow back with just your hands (still more powerful than longbows at close range due to the stiffness of crossbow limbs) and goat's foot crossbows, which use a mechanical aide to multiply the force of the hand using a lever, thus allowing even stiffer limbs. There are also windlass crossbows, which use a winding winch to reload, but those are really only useful in sieges.

@@jmgonzales7701 Fighting more than 1 person should definitely be very hard, but in KCD1 it's hard for the wrong reasons. For instance, it's not that you get overpowered, but rather, the auto-lock wouldn't lock on to the correct enemy unless you turn your back to the battle to reset it. That's anything but "realistic" combat.

I mean, one way we could explain Henry's Chadification in the sequel is that's supposed to be his appearance throughout and at the end of our playthrough in the first game. As we increase his strength and abilities, his appearance is also bound to change, we just didn't have the feature of him actually growing or changing appearance aside from the usual haircut and beard growth styling.

When it comes to clothing and Armor in KCD2 Wich as we all know you can put clothes and armor on Henry in layers. Now with that the Armor and Clothing in the game will now have WEAR AND TEAR that you can see which again will have a positive or negative effect on Henry. Just like with weapons. Not only was KCD1 their first game with like 25 people, while they had no money at all and needed a kickstarter etc. but they literally said that KCD2 is finished and they are working only on fixing bugs and the like, which they already have in control. That is why they also release it in a few months. They have the experience from the first game which uses the same engine, detaiils and more, and have like 250 people working on it.

She obviously won't be in kcd2, she has a new life, and a pretty average/boring one, being far away from henry who has different obligations and a different circle of people. Sorry, but there is just no way for Theresa to be even mentioned.

The relationship between her and Henry is deeply intertwined in the bones of the story, if it werent for his intervention she'd be dead or worse and vice versa, she saved Henry's life in the ruins of Skalitz. I wouldn't be surprised if we see her come up or recieve mention in the 2nd installment and I'd be thrilled to see where they go with it.

Warhorse Studio should be aware not to dismiss a popular character so early into the series. They should look into Mass Effect Series and how it went downhill after they decide to move on from the original characters.
