Best SB song I've heard to date. I could not believe they could do this great of a song.

I just found this song! It' literally brought me to tears (As a jaded musician, few songs affect me to that point!) with it's beauty and brilliance! One of the best pieces of music I have ever heard!

Man, I'm a jaded musician too and this song hit me the same way. I was upset at myself for not having the talent to write it!

Maybe the best Spock’s Beard song ever. The ending suite is sublime. So much attention to detail. 9:20 on...absolutely the best ever! So emotional😭

lol I love this song too but I like it UP to 9:20

The last two albums haven't exactly blown me away. Yeah, some good songs here and there but nothing like X or Brief Nocturnes.

I just started listening to them too. It's awesome to find more progressive rock other than Yes, Rush, Genesis.....

Have you discovered Steve Hackett, He has a bunch of CD's. I think he's the only one from Genesis that still puts out music. Check it out.

Yes I know of Steve Hackett. In fact I just seen him perform earlier this year in his Genesis Revisited tour. It was awesome! Thanks for the information though.

This is the post-modern sequel to "Ghost Riders in the Sky". Essentially a country song.
@brainforest4 жыл бұрын
You're correct. The intro was specifically written to sound like a Johnny Cash song. Later there's a big spaghetti Western influenced section in part 2.

@@brainforest Nice to hear from you (and to be correct in the process). It was my Czech ex- girlfriend who picked up on the country angle, first time she heard the song. According to her, Spock's Beard are the "Squealing Elves". To her, it sounded like a room full of magical Czech elves, "diligently working while one or two will occasionally stand up and squeal". Dear to my heart, it's the best one I've heard yet.
