Our insurance doesn't cover for damage in Nepal, No Indian truck has this, for most part, but while we pay tax upon entry for the period spent in Nepal, there is no assurance of safety from all the violence that was unleashed at that point. Which Indian trucker would want his truck stuck in one place with goods that too? If India wants to blockade Nepal, we would first cut off the free access (tax free) that even Indian trucks don't get, to the Kolkata port. I am not surprised at your ignorance as you merely got emotional because of the suffering you must have gone through, but it had NOTHING to do with India. It gave nothing free, but a credit line to buy fuel from a higher price from India.. and also another credit line to buy supplies exclusively from Indian suppliers .. The main reason was Indian turmeric farmers were impacted by SL's situation as SL imports lot of Indian spices. So India did a favor to its own people rather than helping the neighbor.
