Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living in Cebu City, Philippines. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. In fact I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion sometimes where I am truly based.
I have completed my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree and I am currently working as a Project Control Engineer.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my KZbin Channel and my full-time job as an engineer. I was also a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers and we actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011. I was also the Glee Club President and the singing trainer for various competitions when I was in the university which was a humbling experience for me.
Ever since, I started watching television as a kid, I realized that I enjoy analyzing and commenting on things related to singing performances. I believe this was the foundation of my interest towards making a reaction channel.
I am a self-motivated, and a disciplined soul. I am always keen to up-skill myself by learning new things whenever I get a chance.
My real strength is my attention to detail. I pride myself on being sensitive to the beauty of vocal embellishments, be it major or very subtle.
Most importantly, I keep my reactions real and natural.

Translation of an interview with her in Vrouw Magazine: My audition for Idols in 2016 was the first time I did something with music. I fell out fairly quickly. But a production team had seen my audition and KZbin videos in which I sang in the bathroom. I was allowed to come by. One day a week I went to the studio to write and record songs. No record label was interested, so we decided to publish it ourselves. We came up with the idea of ​​starting a KZbin channel and posting a video of a new cover every week. Also a version of What About Us? from Pink. She responded in a video that she liked my cover and that one went viral, but also my version. That gave me a lot of attention, also internationally. I even went to America several times to perform and write songs. Then I was asked for the tv show Beste Zangers (translated: Best Singers). In the beginning people still had to get used to me; there were many crabby reactions on social media. It was about my pronunciation and someone said, "I don't know what it is, but she just annoys me." At first I was stuck with that and I thought: never mind, I'll stay on KZbin. I decided not to read any more comments on social media, only the messages on my own page. Sometimes they are also negative, but they are well-founded and then it helps me. The reactions became more positive every week and then came the song Duurt Te Lang (translated: Takes Too Long). I was most worried about that song, it was out of my comfort zone. I even thought: they will hate me even more now. But everyone was super positive and I scored a number 1 hit! Really bizarre. In my local supermarket I often have to be photographed, but otherwise it's easy not to be recognized - I am only in the studio. Occasionally I go to radio or TV, otherwise I am a kind of mole. I haven't seen my girlfriends in weeks. But of course it's great: my club tour is sold out, my Instagram followers have doubled. And one of my producers has since become my friend. I wouldn't even have time for a relationship right now. If I didn't see my friend in the studio, I would never see him!

Your videos are really good but there is so much noise for some reason on your videos. It's almost as loud as the actual content... You should try to correct that... It is so bad....Maybe go on KZbin and listen to your videos..
