Fantastic to see this as a lifelong renal patient who has known and worked with my nephrologist for the past 30 years, including being trained by him in nephrology so I can be my own expert and empowered in my own care, it's great to see it from a Neph's perspective.

It’s great that you took the initiative to empower yourself for your own care. Also I’m glad you enjoyed the video- thanks for watching!

Thank you for sharing this! I worked as a dialysis patient care tech for over a year and will be starting med school this summer. Nephrology and internal medicine in general definitely seem interesting to me! 😊

This is such a great video. I came back home today after not being able to match into a Cardiology rotation (Housejob) and since nobody opted for Nephrology, I was kind of stuck there. After watching this video I feel so better and who knows what it may hold. Great interview, thumbs up

Thank you! Sorry to hear about the placement. Nephrology is fascinating, and who knows, maybe you’ll end up a nephrologist or at least liking it a lot more than you thought you would ;). I appreciate it, thanks for watching 🙏

Dr. Nosa Yeah, a lot of doctors don’t want to be on camera, and some hospitals don’t allow any recording. Thanks!

A question I would ask is how often do you have patients with Anti-GBM/Goodpasture's Disease/vasculitis?
@DrAdnan3 жыл бұрын
Not often since they’re rare diseases- anti-gbm is around ~0.5-1.5 cases/million/yr

I don’t know what stage you’re at, but first step would be getting into med school and then an internal medicine residency after medical school, and then apply for a fellowship in your last years of residency
