Day 16, 17 and 18 all fit into this episode. Although it is highway miles, we still get to see quite a bit. Mainly wildlife. The recent rains and green vegetation has bought in an extraordinary amount of bird life. A few things that I didnt film included the Boulia "Min Min lights encounter". It was pretty cool. Also some dinosaur bones.... but I might add them in the next episode since it was right near Lawn Hill.
Also... Happy birthday Silas.

6.00 was .........um concerning. If your going to be in the Mt Isa district.........visit phosphate hill. Its quite busy these days.......but it was a ghost town for a long time. In the 1990's the Shell truck stop on the western side of Mt Isa had massive parking for doubles and triples, on their way to Darwin. One truckie came in and looked at the two "large" ladies behind the counter and said "I want to talk to the chief tucker fu*#er" I nearly fell of my chair. There were a lot very cross looks from the ladies, and I was waiting for a frying pan to be launched at the offender.

phosphoric acid is rust converter, you could evaporate the water off if it's not strong enough.

I recon it's a sport for kangas like the young blokes who try beat trains at the level crossings. Guaranteed if you spot one it'll always jump in front of you

Yeas and no. Silas doesnt have one. Tom refuses to turn his on. Oli wasnt fussed. Mark, Nuno and I had them. But we only talked occasionally.

Comms via UHF works well, they have used it in the past
@Nerb1
@Nerb1 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, Ive had UHF. I like it, but its no good if youre the only one with it. No one else seems invested in comms. I think they all enjoy their peace and quiet, which I understand.

I am with you Nerbsan. Though if something happens and you dont have reception for digital comms, UHF is quite good, much better then BT.
