It would also stand to reason they would then again make a larger version using components that are improved or allow for greater firepower, more shots, etc kind of the normal cycle for tech make the old thing smaller and more efficient then a more powerful version that can’t be as small or efficient and then that gets made so later. Always been something I wondered about the recharger weapons. They’re also just a cool concept to me, seem like the perfect weapon for post apocalyptic survival.

@@SS2LP actually, theres a theory that recharger weapons were designed to be used in space, think about it, You can't exactly bring truckloads of ammo AND spare parts to fix your guns if it will weigh down the ship also the recharger weapons look a little cartoony compared to laser weapons and the recharger pistol is a little reminiscent of cliche futuristic alien blasters

@@SS2LP not really, because the limited recharge rate and still low damage make even the improved version a rather bad choice for a go-to gun, but they're pretty much the prefect sidearm to be used sparsely to deal with pests without wasting the good ammo, so keeping it small enough to be holsterable is the way to go.

You know, I thought that whole beating the game with a rolling pin was a dumb idea, but then I thought it'd be funny to beat the game as one of the crazy grandmas in that wild wasteland encounter. The laser weapons in the fallout franchise not nicking over items is actually lore accurate, as the laser is light refraction and doesn't use mass to damage. However there is an inaccuracy in that laser weapons should not have recoil.

Idk if it's an actual part of the lore of if it's just an explanation the fanbase come up with, but I ve read many times that the recoil is artificial. Basically the transition from firearms to energy weapons was still going on when the great war took place, so a lot of the energy weapons that survived (or were later built based on pre-war models) have "fake" recoil to help the soldiers meant to use them, since said soldiers were already used to compensate for it. It was basically a way to make the transition smoother

It can't be too hard. You'd be surprised about how much you can accomplish with a high survival Stat, being able to farm honest hearts for materials will really help but it's not essential. You can make healing powders and poltice to restore limbs and health and even then healing is mostly going to be done in conjunction with Perks that will let you sleep when using camp fires and home on the range will allow you to Gain increased benefits from sleeping in outdoor beds. If you do lonesome road you can even pick up sleeping bags that will allow you to sleep anywhere and basically makes your wait into a sleep action if you just activate the sleeping bag in your inventory

Okay it is a rifle variant and there is a chance it spawns at the El Dorado Gas & Service. Other options early on are by looting deceased Bright Brotherhood you find on your path to New Vegas. Really not that difficult and no kill requirements before obtaining. Edit: Okay so I combined two gas stations together. There is one at El Dorado that spawns in but the one with radscorpians is Nipton Road reststop and a dead Bright follower. Both have a chance for Recharger Rifies.

@@arifhossain9751 Actually, I found Fl4k to be quite good as a melee character, too, because of how absurd his regen can get. Especially with the Gamma Burst ability, you can get it up to 120% of his max HP regenerating per second.

Rules; you must beat the entire game with your keyboard, mouse and/or controller completely upside down. you must flip your monitor upside down. you must point a camera and have your keyboard+mouse and/or controller in the corner of the screen, while also showing the monitor. you do not have to show yourself. you are allowed to show the video normally in the KZbin video, as people will be able to see your monitor is flipped in the webcam. every choice you make in the game must be the reverse of what you'd typically make. if you would normally save goodsprings, then you must take it over with the Powder Gangers in this run.

This is actually how I beat vegas the first time I ever played it! I left goodsprings after the ghost town gunfight quest with a 357 revolver I'd bought from chet. It was my first time playing vegas so I wanted to explore all the cool places I could see in the distance, the first among those was the Mojave outpost I was allurred by. On my way along the road I encountered a brotherhood scribe by the police station that was off to the right side of the road and she had a recharger rifle! I'm still not sure why to this day but the moment she saw me, she started blasting me with the rifle and so, as you'd expect, I blew her head off with the revolver. After looting the scribe, I was curious about the rifle that she carried... it looked odd as I'd never seen anything like it before in the fallout series so I took it out and started toying with it. I was confused at first, seeing only the one ammo I'd gotten for the thing.... surely the scribe had used more than that to nearly kill me. After using all the ammo (Or so I'd thought) something caught my eye.... the 0/7 had gone up!!!! I looked back at the rifles name, "recharger" My heart instantly jumped out of my chest at the fun I was gonna have with it. I used that rifle for the rest of the game, believing no other weapon would even come close to being as great as this thing! I affectionately named her (the rifle) "Char" after her ability to turn my enemies to ash. While these days I know I was wrong to think no weapon was worth my time other than this neat laser, it still remains my go to weapon to this day for both early and late game when I know I might need something reliable without a doubt. No matter what, The rifle served me well.

You dont go with the much stronger recharger pistol or the mf hyperbreeder alpha (or whatever its called) you can buy from cliff as a part of the Gun runners arsenal dlc? If you need convincing it does higher damage than it's non unique counter part is full auto recharges faster and has a higher capacity you don't get more reliable than that

I think that the recharger rifle is too weak, for that reason i used it with the ammo swap glitch sometimes. The glitch consists of using a trick in the pip boy to quick select the ammo of a firearm even though it doesn't belong to the gun you've equipped (for example an energy cell in a .22 pistol or a 50 bmg armor piercing round in a .357 magnum revolver) and it's very useful in case your weapon is too weak, because you can use this glitch to shoot incendiary, explosive or max charge microfusion cells (and many other ammo types) into ANY gun (or melee weapon) to increase its base damage. It's very easy to do (if you have a controller or a console), i think you should give it a try. It's very fun.

Can you beat Fallout New Vegas without ever being in combat? You have to play the game without your sneak bar ever going into the "danger" status. You can be detected by non-hostile NPCs and animals, but if anything ever brings you into the combat status, it's run over. Might be an interesting variation on a sneak attack run!

I absolutely love recharger weapons in New Vegas - my main character uses the MF Hyperbreeder Alpha all the time, (for when the enemy just isn't worth the ammo of my bigger guns,) and in my newest playthrough the Recharger Rifle has basically been my default for a while now, as my ammo for other weapons has been pretty scarce.

You can get a recharger rifle pretty much right away in the good springs cave on a dead bright brotherhood follower. It’s guaranteed.

A recharger rifle has a chance to spawn in one of the graves at the Yangtze Memorial, if I remember correctly. I don't use energy weapons in my playthroughs, but I always loot them from corpses and containers and sell them for caps, since they're worth a decent amount of caps during the early game.

@@Smokeyourselfstraighttohell I think the only bosses that would be difficult would either be Reelo and/or Galak. I've defeated Desann and Tavion using the pistol and force powers. If nothing else, I'm pretty sure some speedrunning techniques could help.

I know this really isn’t important but the Recharge Rifle can be found on dead Bright a followers. Specifically you can find one under the bridge right before Sloan. It usually spawns one on the corpse but I have had other energy weapons spawn to.

Fun fact: there is a chance that the recharger rifle can spawn at the gas station near the Mojave outpost on a Bright Brotherhood goual, so yeah you sort of didn't need to go thought a death claw valley and go thought hell to get one, there was one next to you at the Mojave outpost. it was a good weapon too for me it did 9-10 DAM and that was with out energy weapons at a good level, because this sack of meat forgot to speck into energy weapons also Fun fact: did you know I found this out the other day when trying this run.

Recharger rifle, never used it, even on an Energy weapon build. It just doesn't come up often and early enough to bother. The unique recharger PISTOL however is OP.

@@ft5821 They're really fun! :D Even if you don't go the light armor/crit route Energy Weapons are a blast! The Laser pistol (GRA) and the Plasma pistol (GRA) can be modded early in goodsprings to great effect, and the Laser RCW is a better machine gun than any tradditional machine guns in the game. The unique plasma rifle in the Repconn building is one of the best weapons in the game and the meltdown perk damage scales with the weapon base damage. Can get really OP with sneak attacks.

I remember the first time I use the recharger rifle. I think it was actually the legendary very added with the Gun Runners Arsenal. I remember it being very good. At least a legendary version. I can't remember the normal rifle though.

I use to actually enjoy this rifle. This, the service rifle, and the rat killer was my favorite. Speaking of which, I'd like to see a run with the rat killer or varmit rifle only, as they are basically the same, but the varmit rifle can be upgraded with weapon mods from GRA

4 weeks ago I've been sick so I had a lot of free time on my hand so I tried beating Lonesome road on very hard + hardcore starting with no perks, equipment and at level 1. It was quite fun (believe it or not at the finish I was kinda op) however the start is rough with all the sentry bots haha - you should try it too. I have to say I wouldn't made it without the flare gun - especially that funny part with the elevator

So fun science fact the Fallout developers at least on the end of Bethesda did actually take into account how physics works. A laser weapon would be unable to move anything. You're not firing a projectile of any sort cuz light doesn't have mass. And for anybody out there that thinks it does, it does not. Light cannot move an object because it has no relativistic force that it's imparting on anything. Even if fired out of a highly concentrated weapon like a laser gun it would still just be a very hot and concentrated burst of light.

Bought the rifle from Chet straight outta Doc Mitchel's. Shilled out all my caps for it as well as selling most of my items. Used it the entire run. No regrets. I used this mod that allowed you to level up your weapons with you, called signature weapons, or something. Good for letting gimmicky weapons obtain relevance, but also overpowered if you use it with meta-tier weapons.

The thing I love about your videos more than 1-weapon runs are roleplaying runs, such as that one with the Bubba from Chainsaw Massacre That being said, Can You Beat Fallout 4 as Silver Shroud? Rules: Get the Shroud Armor, I leave the weapon for you to choose, as I have no idea what kind of weapon a super-hero would use. Beat every quest that allows you to use Shroud dialogue options & defeat every villain Shroud would beat (I'd say named raider leaders more than qualify) Do not commit a single crime yourself, including lockpicking.
