@@nealbagai5388 AFAIK there are still servers for the game, you just can't access them through the in-game browser. You have to access them via the Steam client > View > Servers > The Ship. It's been a while though, so you may want to check for yourself.

There are some really cool “glitch/anomaly?” Planets in the game with crazy structures all over them, glad they added some more variety

Your base actually IS in range of an electromagnetic hotspot- The way hotspots generate is designed so you always have at least 1 of every kind of hotspot in range (power, gas, oxygen, stellar metal, biome material, and the special material), adding up to a minimum of 15 total hotspots of varying quality, within 1000u of any placement of a base computer. You may notice that's a little bit bigger than the supposed 300u radius of a base. But you can extend it to 1000u by placing major objects near the edge! ...I hope you like walking slowly in a straight line, placing batteries, all the way to the nearest power hotspot. Also lesson to be learned: Carry around a Save Beacon. Save frequently, and back up your saves often. This game is prompted saving only.

If you don't have a save beacon, just call out your ship, enter and exit it.. The games will automatically saved each times we exit the ship..

@@undeadwaluwugi758 my reason is i get a thing called heart of the sun, it's an ingredient for creating something after the whole thing with artemis, apollo and null. The description for the thing is " it contains all i've ever known" when i make it, i won't spoil it. But currently i have to go to each atlas station, make the thing that it gives me the recipe for out of the thing i made from the last station, and move on to the next. Also, keep 16 hyperdrive fuels on hand when doing the artemis, apollo, and. null stuff.

Structural integrity in this game is a funny thing... I've got a resource farm with hundreds of storage silos, storing 200,000... pounds, kilos? I don't know what the weight unit is in this game. Either way, it's built on the precipice of a mountain, with a platform extending a couple hundred feet into the sky.

I'd say it's more than just looking like subnautica base building, it's almost exactly the same. I'm not emotional over it or anything but if I'd have to clasify this, I'd say this is more than being inspired. I can imagine the devs looking at various examples and then pointing at subnautica going "let's do that". Edit: After watching the later bits of the video, they definitely made their own additions to it, which look great.

batteries snap to the inside of the prefab buildings, like your portal. Also, there's a trick with the save-editor to put your computer inside the base itself by swapping it's location with your save-point or something. (which you can then just pick up and put inside manually)

There is actually an object you can put down that hides wires unless you are in the building menu. It's called something like "Electrical Cloaking Unit"

I am glad other people like Dan shares my opinion that dead planet are better than alive planets in NMS. I guess it is in the lore that the universe is so old at that point everything has been colonised at some point but I genuinely felt like being able to find the exact same looking life on every planet really detracted from the experience. I would rather have life be something uncommon to really rare, with complex ecosystems something you only run into once every 100 planets or so. Most of the universe is dead, idk why NMS didnt choose to accurately portray that.

@Hawkbone Star citizen is very much a playable experience at this point in time, if a little buggy at times. I get what you're saying about the money and the time taken so far but you do need to understand that this is no triple A game, nor is it some indie game either. CIG is attempting to make a game as in-depth and immersive as possible to the point where the cost of the game will almost certainly be greater than any money they make back from it, and yet they persist in developing it. I know I probably won't persuade you into changing your opinion and that's fine, but saying it's a scam is simply incorrect.

Things snap together fine as long as you use things from the same sets, and a few things do link betweens sets

Subnautica's world is not "beautifully crafted" but the world is leagues better than anything procedurally generated. Sure you might get lucky with world gen but more often than not, these planets will look and play like ass.
