Hey Guys! One of the engineers that worked on this here. Thanks for all the attention/feedback (good and bad). I'm sorry for those that are trying to play and having such a hard time, we had wrapped up work on this a year ago so it caught us completely off guard when this happened. It'd be really cool if some of the team could revisit this concept now that we are mostly all professionals, try and build it properly and polished. FYI this was our own C++ engine which made it even more complicated.

That console at the very beginning of the game that "looks like a toaster" is a very old Pong console from the late 70s. The focusing nobs on the sides allowed the played to move the paddle up and down and on certain consoles, move the paddle to different angles

[ 1 ] While I was playing this game I found some unique controls to try. Such as: Pressing "C" while in game gave me a fly around mode, and when returning to my character by pressing "C" again i was given the ability to shrink/grow from a range of an ant to a human. Other keys such as "L, M, N" all changed the color of the game from normal, to yellow-red scale, to a blue-purple scale."X" restarted the music cycle. there are other keys that also did various things.

By the way, after you pick up the goggles, you can press the #4 key on the keyboard to unlock the full shrinking/growing range (we've hidden a bunch of keys around the lab that you can hunt for).

The oddessey (Hope im spelling that right) and for its time, i think you could be pretty creative with it. Im sure kids had a lot of fun with it considering it was one of the FIRST gaming consoles.

The 9th Doctor was in series 1, the 10th Doctor was in series 2, 3 and 4 and the 11th Doctor is in series 5, 6 and series 7 finale was in May. But the 11th and 10th Doctors will appear again in the 50th Anniversary Special and the 11th will regenerate in the Christmas Special.

I don't know what Dan uses, but usually I use Fraps or Camtasia for recording, and Sony Vegas pro 10 for editing. You can get all three on pirate bay.

Agreed. Russel T Davies was alright at adding character depth and setting up possibilities for plot twists THAT NEVER HAPPENED but Moffat... Series 5 is completely mind-blowing, how the story is written is unbelievably clever. I'm still trying to get over it now

I understand that school projects like this generally end up very short on time, and that you were spending that time getting the game to work on the computers that you had. I had to try and make a game in Gamemaker for my IT class in Year 10, and it didn't go so well. My laptop is around 2 years old(which in tech years is around it's mid-40's) and also it was a two-for-one sale on AMD laptops, and the one I wanted was sold out, so the one I got was optimized for graphic design. Unity was involved for very early prototyping but due to challenges with physics and shrinking/growing in such a large range we ended up needing our own engine. The physics are Havok.

Welcome back! :D I was begin to wonder if the Doctor came and took you in the TARDIS. :D So, there are loads of news. Peter Capaldi is the new Doctor! The eleventh Doctor will regenerate in the Christmas episode. But before that, there is the 50th Anniversary Special in the 23rd of November. Until then we have to wait. The way that I found to spend the time is building a fully functional TARDIS in Minecraft while I listen to a playlist I arranged of all my favorite Doctor Who soundtracks. :D

This looks like a fun game but there's a problem: As soon as I enter the dollhouse, the camera is stuck 10 feet to the right. So when I move the mouse to look around, the view flies around in a big arc. And I walk into walls that aren't in front of my viewpoint, they're 10 feet to the left. Is anyone else having this problem?

Actually, Moffat wrote several episodes in seasons 1-3. I believe there was 3-4 different authors writing for doctor who, each writing their own episodes. (But I do agree, Moffat is great).

Yeah there are lots of little things in there since we also wanted to allow people to just mess around and not just play through the demo script :). Keep in mind you may run into bugs playing around alot haha. Also if you want to have fun, shrink down really small and get into some of the test tubes and roll them off the table. It is hilarious. Ditto with falling through the cracks on the floor at the smallest size. IIRC the tiniest size is around 6 millimeters tall.

He use Fraps which massive file size ''12gb of hard drive space for 5mins) and any recording software is quite huge (at first, but can be reduced later) however you will get low fps unless you have a good pc (dual processors and 4 gig ram at least)

That usually means the game can't save out the Video configuration file. Try running the executable directly "bin/Master/Minus_Lab.exe". If that doesn't work, run the executable with administrative privileges.

She is going to appear again, but she is not going to be as she was or even as a companion. She will become a bit less of Rose and bit more of Batman (in a way). But at the end of the episode the Doctor will lock her in the other Universe again. But with a friend. ;)
