Horror is IMO most effective when it's built up in the way this game does where pretty often when you THINK there's going to be a scare it's just...nothing. Like with the water buckets. They start to lull you into a false sense of security.

Have you played scanner sombre? There’s two really good jumpscares at the beginning and then it’s jusy nothing really pretty visuals and uncomfortable silence. Best horror game

@@thefallenrift1705 technically yes, but I have a genuinely crippling irrational fear of weeping angels. I was playing it in VR and didn't even realize it was a horror game. Needless to say I've never finished it.

Love your content, Dan. Please be aware that although the development studio (Odd Meter) is Russian, most of the team left Russia at the beginning of the ongoing war with Ukraine. They are now working in Kazakhstan. I hate to bring politics into this but I felt like I should reassure anyone potentially looking to buy this. These guys are unlikely to be able to return to Russia due to their stance on the war.
