@Gary Baldi have you played this game? i think the game strikes a really good balance when it comes to difficulty. Switchting between a lot of weaker foes and only a few strong ones. it doesnt "just dump houndreds of enemies and increase health" repetitive animations is something i feared when starting the game, and of course you do see a lot of strings get repeated from enemies. Which is 1. a gameplay thing because it helps you learn and perfect the game and 2. its actually not that bad. There is a lot more variety in animations than i expected.
@Myystical2 жыл бұрын
@Gary Baldi You must be someone that just doesn't like roguelike type gameplay. It's a great game, just not your style, which is understandable. I found that getting better and making the fights look cooler was a fun experience. The animations never really got old or repetitive to me.
@Llunatix132 жыл бұрын
@Gary BaldiI think its not a fair assessment that this game gets repetitive. I do agree finishing animtions can get pretty repetitive but they are not the "main way to kill". You get a lot of interaction through different moves and combos and are in no way forced to kill with executions, it is often enough not even faster. Especially on the lower lvl mobs of which you fight more in one combat encounter. Also where are those "repeated rooms"? this game has pretty well detailed lvls and routes. I do see, however, how this game CAN be played very repetitive (using the same combos into finisher works fine for a mayority of this game) and the fact that the game kinda puts the player in charge of making it diverse and interesting might feel blant. But since the game gives you a lot of options to diversify combat and make it very interactive i think its unfair to call it lazy in any way or form
@Llunatix132 жыл бұрын
@Gary Baldi u sure you played the game? you can lit. kill them in 2-3 hits without a finisher. This is mostly even faster than a finisher animation. But to hell with it. you do you man

As someone who had 100% completed this game, which was very difficult, let me tell you and anyone else something. Once you have beat all the bosses.. do it again. But this time on their second phase, once you break their stance. Don't kill them. I repeat, once you see the execute thing, resist the instinct to hit it to finish the fight. Instead, keep breaking them down until you've broken their stance atleast once and have nearly emptied their health. (If you accidentally completely empty it, you'll auto kill them and have to do it again, sorry) Then, you'll see a D-pad option once they are near to breaking the second time. Press that, and something special happens. Especially after you've done it for all the bosses.

You can get it on PlayStation instead, but that’ll depend on where you place Sony on the ethical scale between epic and Valve.
@---Kai---2 жыл бұрын
@@ADTillion Valve is such a mixed bag of disappointment and frustration. It's pretty much the only company I have ever actually wanted to help. If I could I would hire A ridiculous number of writers and developers to set out on creating three entirely new games. And for the actual store I would try working with people like Jim Sterling to work out ways to curate the fucking ridiculous amount of garbage that slops onto steam. I dislike Steam being the only big fish in the water but at the same time I can't shake the feeling that something is VERY wrong with epic. That and I won't join in that bullshit exclusivity stuff. If a game goes epic exclusive then it's immediately off the table for me. I recently had a moment of clarity and decided that any company (in gaming) did something that in my eyes was immoral then I won't buy from them. No ubisoft, activision, rockstar, and no timed epic exclusives.
@ADTillion2 жыл бұрын
@@---Kai--- Amen to that. I live by the same Creed. Haven’t played any triple A stuff by any of those for a while and don’t plan to until they go bankrupt. One problematic company did go bankrupt, Telltale, but it was revived and the new folk claim they will avoid abuses for the next game, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
@---Kai---2 жыл бұрын
@@MixterChestnut It absolutely does matter what platform is used by the customer. If it's a company that makes money by predatory monetization then I will not support it. I'm of course referring to fortnight. Shoved full of addicting microtransactions that activates one's brain in the same way as casino style gambling. I will NOT support this. And on that point of better deals for devs: Steam has a much larger crowd than epic meaning selling on steam would mean more money than only selling on epic.
@ADTillion2 жыл бұрын
@@---Kai--- *Fortnite I think that person is referring to percentage of revenue share, not volume of sales. Like movies, games expect a certain amount of revenue at launch to avoid immediate bankruptcy, afterwards relying on promotions and media buzz during peak periods to keep the money coming in, and in such cases the percentage they get to keep in order to cover operating costs does matter. Epic also puts exclusives front and center while the steam algorithm can bury your game among a slew of lookalikes. Nintendo also gave better deals than valve, but of course, there are more worldwide PC players than Switch ones. Also, while steam is more widely used, Epic still has millions upon millions of users. Simply looking at how many folk are on Fortnite is a fraction of the total number of people that have it on their PC and get notifications for any new exclusive that comes out. I know because I use epic to get tons of free games, though I’ve never bought anything on it with real money. I prefer just getting codes off of Prime gaming, or Humble store.
